This Le Creuset Collection Is a Need—Not a Want

But it may be hard to find.

I will admit I have a problem. When it comes to home decor that looks like food I just can't resist buying it. I have candles that look like sticks of butter and pieces of cake, a lamp that looks like a French baguette, and countless pieces of food-inspired art. As an editor, I eat, sleep, breathe, live in, and even sometimes wear, all things food.

When I saw the new collection from Le Creuset, I could not contain my excitement. While all of Le Creuset's ceramic cookware (some of which is on sale right now!) are enviable statement pieces, this collection—called The Harvest Collection—takes the concept of eye candy to a whole other level.

The Harvest Collection is a returning collection of "produce-inspired pieces," and features "Mini Cocottes designed in ten different fruits and vegetable forms." Ranging from apples and berries to eggplant, tomato, and peppers, these mini casserole dishes are absolutely adorable. I can only assume this collection plays on the success of the adorable seasonal Pumpkin Cocottes. But now, Le Creuset has expanded its garden.

Each pot is cuter than the last, but if I had to pick favorites...well, of course, I can pick favorites. Not to exaggerate, but I would give anything to make garlic confit in the Garlic Casserole dish, or a single-serve strawberry cobbler in the Strawberry Casserole dish. A summery tomato casserole in the Tomato Casserole—could anything be more charming?! My imagination couldn't help but run wild when I first laid eyes on the collection.

Where Can You Buy the Le Creuset Harvest Collection?

Now, for the bad news. As of now, the collection is exclusive to Canada (Canada—you're getting all the best things this summer!). And, to nobody's surprise, our neighbors to the North ate this collection up. Many of the more popular pieces sold out within a day, although a few are still available to order at this time, and are even marked down to $39 from $50.

We reached out to our friends at Le Creuset and they confirmed there's no plan to bring the collection stateside yet (but fingers crossed!) though there is some good news—you may still see some cute cocottes this side of the border. While a few sly Reddit users reported being able to order them from Canadian suppliers while shipping to American addresses, there's another way you may be able to get your hands on the casserole dishes.

A few of the produce-inspired dishes have also been spotted in U.S. Le Creuset outlet stores, particularly the fruit ones including the blueberry, strawberry, green apple, and raspberry. One TikTok user even pointed out, "You can find them at the outlet stores in the ‘seconds’ section for even cheaper."

Our contacts at Le Creuset confirmed this suspicion. They're not technically called the Harvest Collection, but some of the fruit-shaped casserole dishes were released in outlet stores in the spring, and may or may not be on shelves still depending on your local store's inventory. Additionally, our sources report that some vegetable-shaped dishes may become available in outlet stores this fall, but there are no guarantees your store will stock them. You'll just have to try your luck and see what you can harvest.

I couldn't leave you brokenhearted, so I took it upon myself to find some other widely available Le Creuset designs that may just scratch that itch for the Harvest Collection. For one, the Pumpkin Cocotte is a classic for a reason, and while it shines in the autumn, the neutral-colored options look gorgeous on your countertop year-round. The Mini Apple Tart Dishes are a more recent addition to Le Creuset's collection and are positively delightful. The little green and red apple-shaped baking dishes will bring a little bit of apple-picking season to your table, any time of year. Those picks will just have to hold over until the full collection (hopefully!) comes to the States one day.
