Being in a Relationship with Max Cady Would Include…
A/N: I hope you guys like these! I love Max and he’s one of my favorite characters but he’s incredibly intimidating to write for me so I really hope you guys like this.
Trigger Warnings: Some NSFWish stuff below and some mentions of typical Max Cady behavior.
- He has a daddy kink. This should probably go without saying at this point but Max has the biggest daddy kink.
- Anytime you call him daddy it would drive him crazy and end up with you getting his attention/getting your way.
- One of the things Max is most proud of is having taught himself to read and he likes to read a lot after having gone so long without being able to.
- Newspapers, magazines you leave laying around, the books you keep by your bed, even signs by the road, it doesn’t matter what it is, Max will read it.
- He loves reading out loud to you. It doesn’t really matter what he’s reading, its just nice to listen to him talk in that southern drawl of his.
- He especially loves reading dirty books to you just to watch you blush and squirm next to him.
- The two of you take a lot of road trips together in his cherry red convertible.
- To Max it’s the best thing in the world to drive along some country roads with his arm around you, his girl, the radio playing, and taking in the sights and the breeze.
- Even if you’re not going on road trips you’re always going on long drives together, especially at night when things cool down a little.
- Max usually has the radio tuned to either opera music or old country music.
- Max Cady would love some Johnny Cash music!
- Despite all this, Max almost certainly never tells you about being in prison. At least not at first. He doesn’t really talk about his past all that much telling you “I’m more interested in what’s in front of me darlin’.”
- He might tell you eventually that he was in jail for something he didn’t do or some crime much more minor than what he was actually convicted of. He figures what you don’t know won’t hurt you.
- Max likes to think of himself as a southern gentleman in his own mind and tries to act like one around you.
- He opens doors for you, pays for dates, and my oh my, he would be such a sweet talker with his southern phrases and drawl.
- He calls you by pet names more than he even calls you by your name.
- Angel, princess, babydoll, etc.
- Dates with Max would include things like going for ice cream, trips to diners, playing pool in some dive bar, or going to the drive-in movies together in his convertible.
- He loves when you wear dresses and get all dolled up for him too. He especially has a thing for seeing you in cute little babydoll dresses and sundresses. “My, my, now you sure do look as pretty as a picture. Yes, you do. You get all dressed up just for little ole’ me?” He’d ask and grab your waist, rubbing his thumb over your hip.
- Max gives the best bear hugs! He’d wrap those huge arms of his around you completely and pick you up and spin you around like you were a rag doll before putting you down.
- Max will take any opportunity to touch you! After fourteen years in prison, he’s extremely touch starved which has made him handsy as hell with you.
- Sometimes you can even hear him let out a soft little sign when he feels your soft skin against his.
- He’s got to have his arm around your shoulders when he’s driving, his hand on your ass when he kisses you, your hand in his when you’re walking together. And he is always going to be pulling you into his lap, even if there’s a perfectly good chair right there, he’s going to be patting his knee for you to sit there.
- He’d love it when you sit in his lap at the end of the day while he smokes a cigar and you have a drink and the two of you can relax together.
- You’d better get use to the smell of cigar smoke.
- Max can be pretty rough with you sometimes, even though he’s really not trying to hurt you. The man is just superhumanly strong though and sometimes forgets his own strength in the heat of the moment.
- You almost always have some sort of bruise on you from him gripping you too tight in bed.
- Afterwards though he’d rub those bruises gently with his fingers and kiss the marks he left on your skin.
- Cuddling with Max would be amazing. His big arms wrapped around you holding you tight to his strong chest.
- And he would love it when you trace your fingers over his tattoos too, feeling how his skin raises up slightly to form the words and pictures decorating his skin. It could almost make him shiver.
- He’ll probably even wind up getting a tattoo to represent you one day.
- And oh man if you were to wear one of his Hawaiian shirts? He would go crazy over the sight!
- It would be very rare for the two of you to ever be apart for more than a few hours. Max even has a habit of showing up wherever you are to “check on you.” Even if you didn’t tell him where you were going to be.
- He is extremely protective and possessive over you! Max would be on edge if anyone even looked at you wrong and would be ready to take care of anybody who tried to make you uncomfortable or hurt you.
- But considering how intimidating Max looks and how the two of you are almost together I don’t think many people are going to try to mess with you.
- Max always has to be the one in charge in your relationship. He likes feeling like you need him/rely on him and that he’s protecting you/taking care of you.
- Fights with Max would never be a thing. He’s too manipulative for that. Any fights that start between you Max will end pretty quickly.
- He can definitely be a pretty flashy guy which can sometimes be a little embarrassing in public but hey, that’s just Max for you.
