The two flaw with this set.
Revenger· Review provided by LEGO · June 19, 2024
Overall, I love this set. There are do many references from the movie jammed into this one display, but that's just what it is, a display. My first problem is that it seems more like a display than something to play with, and even though that's not a big issue for most people buying this set, I thought I should mention it. The second problem I have is the way the set can split into three standalone buildings. For me at least, Bilbo's room and the main room wouldn't connect flush with each other. I fixed this by swaping out part 6313114, which keeps the top portion of the build in line, for part 6266251, which does the same thing as the first part, except it snaps into the hinge piece on the main building instead of just sliding into it. This did help remove the gap between the rooms and keep them together. Overall, I believe that this is one of the greatest Lord of the Rings sets we have, and I would personallya recommend that any fan of the Lord of the Ring franchise that doesn’t already have this set should pick one up before it is retired. I hope this helps someone with the same issue, and I hope you have a great day.
Lego Lord of the Rings has Finally Returned

This set exceeded every expectation with grandeur. It was an amazing build. Lego found the perfect balance between stickers and print with this set; using extremely detailed printed tiles for the intricate floor design, and extremely accurate stickers for the murals and paintings. Any builder will love creating the roof using a truly magnificent building technique that combines 1x1 flat tiles placed diagonally on large plate pieces. It is extremely film accurate and is a massive build, while still fitting comfortably in convenient spaces. It is easily the best set made in the history of lego, surpassing the UCS AT-AT because of its more intricate, beautiful design and color scheme, and trumping detailed sets such as Hogwarts castle and Architecture masterpieces because of the popular theme, more detailed and extensive minifigures, and well-utilized elements and building techniques that are not seen in any other sets. The minifigures in this set are amazing. The entire fellowship of the ring and all important characters for rivendell (and even extra elves) are included. There is not a character or mold lego did not include in this set. The sheer amount of new molds specifically made for this set and the coming lord of the rings franchise is reason enough to buy it. In addition, every major scene from Rivendell is included in great detail on the exterior and interior. The overall structure and outer design are very accurate to the breathtaking look of Rivendell in the movies. In addition to a vast majority of lego fans and lord of the rings fans, I am very excited that lego is finally creating sets for Lord of the Rings, and will buy every set that comes out under this franchise as many others will. I would encourage Lego to continue this theme and am sure it will sell very well as so many lego fans are such big fans of Lord of the Rings legos and lots of people have been waiting for this for a long time. I look forward to the 4000+ piece Barad-dur set releasing later this year or in the first half of 2024 and am excited to see Sauron, Sam, Frodo, and the orcs in minifigure form for Mordor, in addition to the mini-scale exterior, minifigure-scale interior combo lego is using for Barad-dur. I am excited that lego is investing in more than Rivendell for this theme and would encourage them to continue forward. (Note Lego: If a Bag End or Hobbiton set is made, be sure to make "The Red Book," red, as it is brown in this set and that would be a very important and obvious detail to remedy for an accurate Bag End set)
Exciting Build

Rivendell was a joy to build. I love the detail the designers put into this kit. When I say detail, I mean not only the model detail, but the variety and color of pieces that get covered up as well. They could have made it all the same color with similar pieces which wouldn't have been that interesting. I also love the organic feel of the build with lots of plants and trees allowing for artistic expression in arranging. The thought that went into the play value by providing additional bricks for making hobbits sit and stand, hair vs. hat combinations, etc. was very rewarding. I know others have had issue with the stickers, but I actually prefer them. I think they are more durable than silk screened parts and I didn't find them that difficult to put on. The sizing of the stickers made it easy to center and apply. I was looking for a set with lots of pieces and this one delivered at a reasonable price. I also love the ornate detail of the gazebos and hall decorations. My daughter loves the forge area and armory. Just so cool! I'm ready to take it apart and put it back together again.
Perfect architecture

I'd been looking at this set for months! Finally decided on buying it once my birthday came.
Honestly the moment I took this out the box I didn't stop smiling, I genuinely felt like a kid at Christmas again!
The way this set was designed is incredible, so many clever ways the bricks have been used. One minute the set feels flimsy, and a couple more pieces here and there, it becomes so sturdy and solid. Really enjoyed the building of this set.
There are so many hidden features for LOTR fans to admire, and smile at.
I would definitely recommend this set to anyone and everyone, 100% worth the money.
The only issue I have now is getting Barad Dur and potentially getting divorce papers (lol). There should be a warning for how addictive LEGO is.
The only very small issue I had, and I've seen this issue a couple of times across different reviews, but no way does it impact the build or score. But the instructions feel very pushed towards the crease in the manual. Just need to come out a tiny bit.
As Lord Elrond would say "You Shall Be The Fellowship Of The Ring".
