If you’re thinking about getting it, get it. We added this to our registry for our first born and thank God someone bought it for us! Our daughter is about to turn 2 and we are now on our second child that is 4 months and it still works like it did when we first bought it. There’s an app you can download to choose your colors/brightness, volume sounds that the hatch will give off. It’s all connected conveniently via Bluetooth. There are options for you to choose your favorites! So if your child has their favorite sound or color that ones, they’re already preset for you to choose on your app without actually having to tap and try to figure it out. The one I have doesn’t work without being plugged in so it immediately turns off once unplugged, but that’s fine. Our hatch has its own outlet dedicated to having it on Every. Single. Night.

The sound machine is amazing and works wells from newborn all the way up to toddlerhood and beyond. I have a Hatch in each of my kids rooms and use it as a nightlight and for white noise. I also use it for helping my toddlers know when to get out of bed or stay in their room during quiet or morning hours. It is easy to set up and is controlled by installing an app on your phone. There are two types of connections one using WiFi and the other using Bluetooth. I have one of each but both work through the app. You can turn the machine on and off or adjust the settings like colors and sounds simply by using the app. This is the best sound machine for children!

This sound machine helps my baby sleep through my toddler, running around the house. We don’t have to worry about being quiet because the white noise blocks out the extra sounds in the house. We have had a hatch since my four-year-old was a newborn. Now we use it to set her routine, the light is red from 8 PM to 7 AM. At 7 AM the light turns green and she knows that means it is morning time. If she wakes up in the middle of the night and the light is still red, it helps her to understand that it is the middle of the night. Having the customizable routines has helped our family so much.
