GEORGE BOOTH, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
IMPROVEMENT IN CUSPADORES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 167,735, dated September 14, 1875; application iiled July 15, 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE BOOTH, of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain newand useful Improvements in Ouspadores; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description ofthe invention, such as willenable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form part of this specification, in Which- Figure 1 is a vertical longitudinal section 5 Fig. 2, side elevation.
The object of my invention is to provide a A'self-righting cuspadore of improved construefacement of the carpet or other covering by the exudation of moisture from said bottom. An annular flange, d', is formed on the bottom, over which the lower edge c of the body C is turned by suitable tools, forming a tight joint, and serving to keep the parts securely together.
' I claim- 1. The bottom I), made of cast metal, and having hollow legs d d d to avoid unnecessary weight, and at the same time elevate the vessel, as shown and described.
2. The cast-metal bottom D, having anannular flange, d', for the purpose specified.
3. In combination with a sheet-metal body, C, a east-metal bottom, D, united to said body by a flange, c, lapping over the annular iiange d, as set forth.
4. A cast-metal bottom for cuspadores and other vessels, having hollow legs d d d and `an annular flange, d', as shown and described.
