Abstract

A first part image of red fluorescent dye and a second image of green or blue fluorescent dye are arranged as negative images so that the part pictures appear as a three-dimensional picture in the eyes of the viewer of the part images, who is looking simultaneously with each eye through the color filter created by the fluorescent colors of both images.

Description

The invention relates to an article with an imprinted image of at least one UV-fluorescent ink.

The forgery-proof packaging is of great importance especially for the pharmaceutical industry. Basically, however, there is also a desire in other areas for forgery-proof packaging or products, in particular in the Kansumgüterindustrie, for example in the packaging of food, cosmetic articles, clothing, software and music CD's or securities. An article with a tamper-proof surface area can be a packaging, a packaging material, a packaging aid or a product itself, on which a surface area in the form of a security part, for example as a label, is provided with an optical effect.

A tamper evident packaging or packaging aid may serve as a tamper evidence guarantee that allows the customer to recognize that the product he has purchased has actually been manufactured and packaged by the desired producer. A tamper-proof packaging aid can i.a. also be used as a first-opening guarantee, for example in the form of a label, a band or a sealing strip, etc., which are e.g. above a bottle cap or over the closure of a wide mouth jar, over the seam between a lid and a container or over the zipper of a bag. When opening the appropriate packaging, the label, the banderole or the sealing strip is destroyed, indicating that an initial opening has already taken place. It is also possible to fill or wrap articles in an overpack, the overpack having characteristic distinctive and non-duplicable features which show that the packaging of the contents has been done at a particular supplier.

Well-known forgery-proof packaging and products are on their surface provided with holograms or have color coding or invisible features. In order to achieve a high security against counterfeiting holograms have proven themselves in practice. Examples are hologram labels or lidding films with integrated holograms. The production of individualized holograms is, however, associated with an enormous effort.

From the article of David Tidmash "Simply (But Not So Simple) Inks!" in AU-THENTICATION NEWS, May 2005, Vol.11 It is known from in the three primary colors red, green and blue under UV radiation fluorescent inks composite images as in the visible light colorless printing on security films and laminates for passports and identity cards to increase the security against forgery.

The invention has for its object to provide an article of the type mentioned with a visible under UV radiation printing, which leads to a further increase in anti-counterfeiting security and their details are not readily apparent to a viewer.

To a first inventive solution of the problem results in that the image consists of two Teilbildem, wherein a first partial image in a red fluorescent ink and the second partial image in a green or blue fluorescent ink as negative images are mutually arranged so that the partial images one at the same time Each eye through each one on the fluorescent inks of the two partial images matched color filter on the partial images look viewer appear as a three-dimensional image.

The first solution according to the invention makes use of the phenomenon known in the visible light field as an anaglyphic process. This method is used, for example, in mathematics textbooks to illustrate stereometry or spherical trigonometry.

The essential core of this invention is the transmission of the Anaglyphenverfahren from the visible range of light in the range of UV radiation, with the following important feature is observed:
  • For images printed in visible colors, it is convention to use a red filter for the left eye. The left eye then only sees the corresponding partial image printed in green or blue. For the right eye, a green or blue filter is used. The right eye then only sees the corresponding partial image printed in red.
  • For fluorescent colors, the partial images must be printed negatively. In addition, a corresponding partial image with red fluorescence belongs to the left red filter, to the right green or blue filter a corresponding partial image with green or blue fluorescence.

The UV radiation commonly used in connection with fluorescent effects is at a wavelength of 365 nm in the long-wave range and is also referred to as black light.

To a second inventive solution of the problem results in that the image consists of a substantially non-contiguous disturbing pattern forming the first field in a red fluorescent ink and a substantially contiguous, an information bearing pattern forming second field in a green or blue fluorescent ink in which the information-carrying pattern of the second sub-image can be recognized by a viewer who is looking at the sub-images by means of a color filter matched to the red-fluorescent printing ink of the first sub-image.

The second solution according to the invention also makes use of a phenomenon known in the visible light field in which a pattern containing information is printed in a very light green or blue (cyan). When viewed through the red filter, the green or blue still produces a high-contrast b / w image. With a printed in bold red Stuttering pattern, the green or blue pattern disappears for a viewer almost completely or at least does not appear as a coherent pattern.

Preferably, the printing ink of the first partial image fluoresces in strong red and the printing ink of the second partial image in green or blue.

The security against counterfeiting can be further increased by appropriate choice of the printing inks that one of the two fluorescent inks by UV radiation in both the long-wavelength (365 nm) and short-wave (254 nm) and the other fluorescent ink only in the short-wave (254 nm) Wavelength range is activated. As a result, only a partial image is visible in the usual long-wave UV range, whereupon the counterfeiter may be satisfied. Only in the short-wave UV range do both partial images appear, which can be seen as anaglyph or as a three-dimensional image in the first solution according to the invention. In the second inventive solution of the problem, the printing inks are selected accordingly so that the green or blue fluorescent ink of the second field with the pattern containing an information only in the short wavelength (254 nm) wavelength range and the red fluorescent ink of the first field with the interfering pattern both is activated in the long-wavelength (365 nm) as well as in the short-wave (254 nm) wavelength range. As a result, the second partial image with the pattern containing an information is only visible under short-wave UV radiation. In the usual long-wave UV range, only the first partial image with the interference pattern in the red fluorescent printing ink can be seen, which contributes to an increase in safety.

The preparation of the article according to the invention is carried out by known processes. The security against counterfeiting is further increased by the fact that the application of the partial images must be carried out on a machine with high-precision print mark control.

The above-mentioned packaging materials may form the articles of the present invention in the form of packaging materials or packaging aids. For example, from foil-shaped packaging materials by punching and sealing bags, sachets, wrappers, bags, etc. can be made. Films can be deformed by deep drawing and / or ironing to form packages or moldings, such as bottom parts of blister packs or blister packs or wide-mouth vessels, dishes, goblets, cups, etc. For example, tubes (laminate tubes) or covers for mold packs can be produced from the films. From, for example, carton-containing substrates, cartons, such as folding cartons, can be produced. It is also possible, for example bottles, blown from plastics, or to use preformed moldings as substrates and to attach the inventive material layer thereon. Closures, openings, seams, seams between a bottom part and the associated lid, etc., can be provided with a packaging aid according to the invention in the form of a label, a sealing strip, a banderole, a warranty seal or a closure. These latter packaging aids are generally film-shaped and are fixed on the corresponding container over the opening and adjacent container part, such as glued, welded, crimped or shrunk, etc. The packaging aid has the transparent material layer according to the invention and the image pattern held at a distance therefrom on. The construction according to the invention of the surface or of a surface region of the object leads to the targeted optical appearance when the viewing angle changes. Falsification by photocopying and using the photocopy as a guarantee of originality or manufacturer would be immediately and easily recognizable, since a change in the viewing angle does not show the optical effect occurring in the structure according to the invention. So that packaging aids, for example Siege strips or banderoles, can easily be broken by the consumer, it may be expedient to provide marking aids such as weakenings, notches or tear-offs. It is also possible to use, as a constituent of packaging materials or packaging auxiliaries, easily tear-in or puncturable films, such as plastic films enriched with fillers or films produced from two poorly compatible plastic films.

In addition to the already mentioned use of the article according to the invention in the form of a packaging, a packaging material or a packaging aid, another field of application is the forgery-proof production of securities, tickets and similar documents, whereby not only the forgery-proof design but also decorative special effects can be generated.
