Sky Sports fall for hilarious prank as they claim Aberdeen have signed Turkish star 'Yer Da Sells Avon'

The parody Twitter account managed to reel in the English-based football TV giant with a very Scottish bit of banter during the January transfer window.

That can lead to some top trolling - as Sky Sports found out on Friday night as prank account AberdeennFC claimed the club had made a new signing.

'Yer Da Sells Avon' is a phrase embedded in the Scottish lingo and used in popular culture to make fun of someone else.

The joke was very much on the media broadcaster however, as they included the big Dons signing in their transfer blog.

Aberdeen fans will undoubtedly be keen for manager Derek McInnes to add reinforcements during this window but will no doubt see the funny side of this top prank.
