Wolverhampton Wanderers are among a clutch of English teams interested in signing Porto’s Brazilian left-back Alex Telles, according to reports in Portugal.
Premier League giants Chelsea and Liverpool have also been linked to the left-back as Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp seek defensive reinforcements.
But what’s all the fuss about? Here’s a bit of background on the in-demand Brazilian.
Who is Alex Telles?
Like many of Brazil’s professional footballers, Telles graduated from the beaches of southern Brazil to join up with local side Juventude in his teens.
After catching the eye for Juventude, Telles quickly climbed the Brazilian footballing ladder and was snapped up by big-hitters Gremio where the likes of Ronaldinho learnt their trade.
It wasn’t long before Telles completed every young Samba Star’s ambition and signed for a European team. Galatasaray managed to sign a 21-year-old Telles in 2014.
Brazil legend and two-time World Cup winner Roberto Carlos, who enjoyed a spell in Turkey with Fenerbahce towards the end of his playing career, praised his fellow left-back upon arrival.
"Brazilian players begin to come to Turkey again,” Carlos said. “We see that finally deals with Galatasaray (and) Alex Telles.

“He's a really good player. You can play openly and in many other positions he is a good player, so I believe that Galatasaray can be very useful."
Telles spent 18 months with Galatasaray before joining Inter Milan on loan where he played under Premier League-winning manager Roberto Mancini.
Despite making 21 Serie A appearances during the 2015/16 season, Inter decided not to make Telles’ loan move permanent and he was allowed to join Porto where current Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo was at the helm.
He starred under Nuno last season and has continued his good form under new coach Sergio Conceicao.

What's been said about Grabban?
Wolves are reportedly in talks with Bournemouth over a deal to bring Lewis Grabban to Molineux.
Grabban has returned to the Cherries after spending the first half of the season on loan at Championship strugglers Sunderland and caught the eye, scoring 12 times in 19 appearances.
He’s decided to cut short that spell on Wearside in order to force through a permanent move elsewhere this window, with his opportunities at the Vitality Stadium set to be severely restricted.

Other targets have now been sourced, but these are the rules that Wolves must adhere to:
