Master LEGO Builder Creates Epic 200,000 Piece Fantasy World

At over five feet tall and six feet wide, Mike Doyle’s Odan is an incredible fantasy world built from over 200,000 LEGO pieces. It took over 600 hours to build.

Entitled, ‘The Millennial Celebration of the Eternal Choir at K’al Yne, Odan‘, it represents Doyle’s first work in his ambitious Contact series of large-scale LEGO sculptures. Doyle states the goal for Contact is to:

“Promote the beauty of all intelligent life forms as extensions of our family – children under the same creative force… Future ‘Contact’ works will feature celebrations of expanded consciousness, loving and caring moments of ETs, contact events and other celebration from our brothers and sisters throughout the universe.” [Source]

To raise support for the endeavour, Doyle has launched a Kickstarter campaign offering archival prints and DIY building kits. The campaign has already met the $1,000 goal (currently $6,258 has been pledged) and the fundraiser is open until May 21, 2013.
