Floyd Mayweather: ‘Today, I Am Officially Out of Retirement for Conor McGregor’ (Video)
Floyd Mayweather says he’s “officially out of retirement for Conor McGregor,” and the boxer wants to fight the mixed martial arts star as soon as June.
That means the ball is back in McGregor’s court, with a big contract in his corner — just not as large as the one Mayweather wants.
“I don’t want to hear no more excuses about the money, about the UFC,” the undefeated pugilist said during a rowdy British press conference. “Sign the paper with the UFC so you can fight me in June.”

“Pretty Boy” Floyd then accused McGregor of just using the Mayweather name “for leverage,” an attempt to raise his own profile. How can he say that? Well, the Irishman and current UFC Lightweight Champion hasn’t even responded to The Money Team’s recent proposals, Mayweather said.
“He’s quiet as a church mouse,” the best pound-for-pound boxer on the planet concluded. “Conor McGregor, stop blowing smoke up everybody a–. If you want to fight, let’s make the fight happen.”
Watch the video above, but don’t hold your breath for a brawl. These two have been circling each other (outside of the ring) for a long time now, with each claiming the other side is preventing the massive payday and boxing match.
