One prankster has attracted nearly as much attention as the players thanks to his fruity get-up.

Chris Fava, a designer, rocked up to centre court wearing a massive strawberry costume and was spotted drinking from a carton of cream.

The comical outfit was praised by eagle-eyed TV viewers who took to Twitter and said the look was "cracking me up".

Chris, who sported green tights and white sunglasses, was spotted posing for a snap with a man dressed as a banana.

Meanwhile, four female friends decided to fashion themselves bras out of tennis balls.

The girls surprised onlookers on Murray Mound when they unzipped their matching grey hoodies to reveal the inventive undies.

The women  let their cheeky lingerie attract all the attention by pairing it with black skinny jeans and trainers.

Fashioning a unique look out of tennis balls was a popular choice for spectators.

Two women dressed in 'I love tennis' T-shirts made garlands out of balls, while a brunette stuck them to her blue cap.

Rather than going it alone, another troupe of pals opted for matching get-ups.

Four male mates were papped in the stands wearing emoji costumes.

Two chose a simple smiling face, one opted for a grimace look and the other a cheeky face with a sticking out tongue.

Looking to the tennis greats, two friends donned costumes inspired by John McEnroe and Pat Cash.
