Star athlete’s dreams shattered after bizarre accident

Anthony Lue was a multi-sport star and athlete of the year. Today, memories of a a bizarre accident that saw him crushed inside a car at a recycling facility leaving him paralyzed are still horrifying raw to him.

Lue, 21, set an Ontario record in hurdles and won football and baseball titles while at Pickering High School. He is lucky to be alive after being paralyzed from the waist down in a horrific accident.


It all happened in a horrifying split second and, three months later, Anthony Lue still can’t quite believe it.

“I should be dead,” he said.
