She isn't a dermatologist. If you want to see a skin specialist see a real dermatologist not a wannabe. You don't see a cardiologist if you need a knee replacement.

Definitely the worst experience in a clinic. Here's the Coles notes:
-zero (absolutely zero) empathy, walked in consult didn't ask name, purpose, existing history. Her bedside manners is the worst. Entitled, no eye contact, clearly absent minded
-immediately pitched for expensive products without asking about existing skincare routine (Hey Dr. Linda, I'm already on Skinceuticals... you would know if you asked what a joke)

I am actually shocked how careless she is. I've never* seen anything like that.

tl;dr: don't get a dermatology appointment with her unless you want to be told the problem with your skin is that you need to buy their expensive skincare (and also that masks don't stop COVID transmission)

I received a referral from my family doctor to the dermatology clinic here to talk about acne. When I asked Dr. Linda about the possibility of my breakouts being caused by a fungal issue, given that I had found a specific antifungal cream was helping, and if I could get a fungal scrape to check this, she said that it definitely wasn't fungal and she wouldn't do that test.

-> which, ok, fine, I'm not an expert so you could be right... but would it really have been that hard to do this test and confirm this?

She then said the cream I had been using had hydrocortisone in it, which was what was helping reduce the inflammation. I had actually checked to make sure the cream didn't have that ingredient in it, but I kept quiet during the appointment in case I was wrong. I have since rechecked the ingredient list and the cream definitely does not have hydrocortisone in it.

-> she didn't even ask me which cream I was using so that she could confirm this for herself — she just made this assumption.

She then asked me if I had used retinol before. When I said yes, she asked me what my process for applying it had been. When I started to tell her the process I had followed, she interrupted me and said something like, "the issue is that you're using The Ordinary. You need to use medical grade skincare, like the one we sell here, and layer retinol between two layers of moisturizer"

-> which, fine, maybe The Ordinary is actually terrible from a medical perspective, but at least let me finish my description? and give me options other than the extremely expensive option you sell?

She then told me she was too busy to walk me through what my skincare routine should be, gave me a prescription for retinol, and sent me to a skincare representative (who I believe may be an aesthetician at the clinic, but who was not a dermatologist) to whom she had not given any other context. I had to explain to this person what my current routine was and listen to her tell me which products I should buy to go along with the retinol prescription I received — again, all expensive products that they sell at their clinic — without being asked what I had already tried.

In my opinion, this is a gross abuse of power. It would be one thing had she said "this is the brand I recommend, but here are the ingredients it uses so you can find them in other products"... but to specifically recommend only one brand, that you sell, which is not a prescription and that people have to pay for out of pocket, feels extremely irresponsible. From my perspective, people struggling with acne and other skin concerns are in a vulnerable position — I at least feel very insecure about my skin, and it feels like in promoting one specific product that their clinic sells, they're trying to take advantage of people's insecurities for profit. If I wanted to be sold a specific skincare brand, I would go to Sephora, not an actual dermatology clinic.

It was also extremely frustrating to a) not be given the test I asked for and b) be interrupted so that I couldn't share what I had already tried. I do not consider myself an expert in skincare, which is why I had asked for this appointment in the first place, so I would've appreciated the chance to walk through what I had already tried and get a well-rounded perspective.

On a different note, I also asked about reducing breakouts caused by masks, and was told "If you're young and healthy and taking your vitamins, you don't need to wear a mask or worry about getting sick. The effectiveness of masks against COVID was really overstated — there's no evidence that it really stopped the transmission — and at this clinic we don't really believe in them — I rarely wear them myself. It's better just to not get into crowded spaces, though if you're really concerned about it you can wear a cloth mask"

Karma Linda ! You are pure evil. She abused her patients for money . A delusional wannabe Instagram model slash doctor.
She needs to put in prison for her crimes of abusing her patients so she can full fill her narcissistic supply of constant need of attention and self loathing . She is deeply delusional and very sick . Let’s keep reporting her let’s put her in prison .

Dr. Linda is very heavy handed when performing a procedure. No empathy or compassion what so ever. Not a pleasant experience at all. & I would suggest going to a real dermatologist not this person. Likes to bill for everything & you can get Skinceuticals products much cheaper elsewhere.

Dr. Linda has absolutely no interest in knowing the issues the patient is facing. She is not punctual and she almost forget that I was waiting for her. She comes later, with no sign of apology on her face. Her diagnosis seems to be incorrect. The moment I got out of the clinic, I knew I had to change my doctor.

I was a patient for years and I finally left after my last experience. I was due for a Pap and made an in-person appointment. I was told I needed to have a phone appointment before I could come in. On that call the doctor did not know why we were having the call (my assumption was it was to bill for two appointments instead of one). When it did come time for my in-person appointment, Dr. Nyguyen was completely dismissive of me. She asked some routine questions including who my doctor was (she had been my doctor for years at that point). The entire exam was silent - no heads up about what step she was about to take - and left the room before I could even ask a question. It felt violating. I had a call from the office to say she wanted to discuss the results (which ended up being normal). And again, there was no clue about why the call had been scheduled when the appointment began. I started my search for a new doctor that day as it's clear she's only in it for the money and does not care about her patients at all.

I've been to this clinic twice, in person. I've had to wait over 1/2 hour each time despite having pre-booked my appointments and one of which was early in the morning. She stood 4 to 5 feet away from me although I told her there was something teeny tiny on my face and then she told me she couldn't see it. Apparently she doesn't even have a light and a magnifier. She was quick to throw the 'cancer' word around. The first time I was there, I could see the other patients' names and why they were attending on that day on a screen in the examination room. She has no personality. The blood pressure machine wasn't functioning one of the times I was there.
