Eddie Hearn on George Kambosos Jr. vs. Devin Haney negotiations - 'I felt it was a very fair offer'DAZN
Eddie Hearn joined The DAZN Boxing Show to give an update on a potential undisputed lightweight title fight.

The saga rumbles on between unified lightweight champion George Kambosos Jr. and WBC champion Devin Haney for an undisputed title fight.

After Lou DiBella described Eddie Hearn's latest offer as 'insulting', the Matchroom boss joined The DAZN Boxing Show to give an update on negotiations and discussed if the fight could be made.

"Our offer was basically an opportunity for George Kambosos to keep all the Australian money for the fight," Hearn revealed.

"They talk about how big this fight is, huge PPV in Australia, government money, stadium fight, I felt it was a very fair offer.

"I don’t want to go back and forth with Lou DiBella, I just had to come out on social media and say ‘just to confirm we have never ever received an offer by email or any other form of writing for Devin Haney to go to Australia’, because we will do everything we can to go.

"I felt that Devin was getting a bad end of the stick. Him and Bill were phoning me up saying ‘can you forward us the offer you had’ and I said, ‘I’d never had an offer’, I don’t know what to say.

"But since then, we’ve been in talks with DAZN who probably act as very good intermediary between myself and Lou DiBella to try and make this fight happen."

Kambosos is now left with two options when it comes to his next fight, face Devin Haney for the undisputed title or take on Vasiliy Lomachenko in a normal defence.

For Hearn, he believes a fight for the undisputed title is a much better deal.

"Because of the WBO ruling for George Kambosos which is they’ve ordered negotiations for the Lomachenko fight, really the only fight that George Kambosos is going to get away with is the undisputed fight anyway," Hearn explained.

"I think really you have two options, Devin Haney for the undisputed world championship or you’ve got Vasiliy Lomachenko in a defence of your world title.

"Both good fights, but one gives you undisputed, one gives you the opportunity I think to do a deal quite easily with us and DAZN, and I think it’s the best option for him."
