2 Chainz Launches Campaign to Save Atlanta’s Famed Pink ‘Trap House’ From Demolition: Report

2 Chainz‘s Pink Trap House in Atlanta could soon be demolished by the owner if something isn’t done about it fast. The 40-year-old has taken the matter into his own hands by launching a campaign calling on the city to save the “Eiffel Tower of Atlanta.” TMZ caught up with the ATL rapper while he was traveling through LAX on Wednesday (July 19) to see what he has in store to keep the monument standing upright.
“I don’t think they would knock down the Statue of Liberty. We changed the connotation of trap house from something negative to something that was considered positive. We held church services, art activities, AIDS testing, and all of that,” Tity Boi explained of the activities that took place in the building that was a key part of the promo campaign for his Pretty Girls Like Trap Music album.
“I’m not sure why they want to knock it down, but I’m all about redirecting the negative into something positive. I might need to holler at Keisha Bottoms. Let’s try to save the Pink Trap House,” Chainz confidently concluded.
It sounds as if the Mayor of Atlanta, Keisha Bottoms, could hear from 2 Chainz very soon. If you remember, the Def Jam artist brought an alternate version of the iconic Pink Trap House on his 2017 Pretty Girls Like Trap Music Tour as a prop on stage. The real house also served as the location of the Drench God’s “Door Swangin” video shoot.
