Review : Aristotle and Dante discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz

I just reread my favorite book of last year and to write a review for this book is really hard for me, because the only word that comes into my mind when i think of it is Perfection.

Yes. This book is perfect.

The storyline is beautiful. It’s about love and identity. It is very well done and such a wonderful story, simple and powerful. i found something so incredible in this book and from the first page to the last, it never let me down. It made me smile and made me sad and the ending made my heart melt. It’s the kind of story you just never forget, i know i never will. i also don’t think i’ll ever get tired of rereading it. 

The characters are so well develop. Both Aristotle and Dante are interesting. Ari’s voice is so sad and painful, but also very mature and smart. I can’t even tell you how much i love reading from his POV ( and i would sell my soul for Dante’s POV!!! it would be so great to have his side of the story!!!) Dante is beautiful in every way possible. His mind is fascinating. The relationships in this books are some of the best i have ever read! not only between Ari and Dante, but also between the boys and their family. All the characters are complex and they all had that little something special. Good Job Benjamin Alire Sáenz!

and the writing. I can’t even explain all the beauty in the writing. every word is full of emotion, every line is built with a mix of humor and feelings. it’s poetic without being to much. There’s so many amazing quotes in those 350 pages. I will never forget it.

The worst is that i miss Ari and Dante, I miss them so much. I have read this book for the first time in May 2014 and i has still thinking about yesterday. Now that i have reread it, i feel like i have fallen even more in love. i feel so grateful that i had the chance to read this book, like it was a nicest gift i ever could imagine. 

I miss them. I miss their conversations. I miss their laugh. I miss them. 

This book stole my heart in so many ways and none of my words can’t do justice to this story… so please, please, please read it because it is one of the best book i have ever read.
