Six From Lacrosse Receive All-Conference Honors
SAN FRANCISCO – Sun Devil Lacrosse had a record six individuals selected to the Pac-12 All-Conference teams.
After winning 10 of the 20 possible Pac-12 Player of the Week honors, it was no surprise that the Maroon & Gold were heavily featured on the Pac-12 All-Conference teams. Of the 24 players to earn a spot, six of them were from Arizona State, a reflection of the strength of the roster. As voted on by the coaches of the Pac-12, the Sun Devils tied Pac-12 Regular Season and Tournament Champion Stanford for most selections in the conference.
"Having 6 players get All Pac-12 honors speaks to the depth our team had this season," Head Coach Tim McCormack remarked. "We had impact players in all areas of the game and we are proud of their accomplishments."
Attackers Carley Adams and Emily Glagolev along with defender Bella Gaspar were named to the All-Conference First Team, becoming the first Sun Devils to accomplish the feat. Goalkeeper Berkeley Bonneau, attacker Kerri Clayton, and midfielder/draw specialist Maura Cissel earned a spot on the second team, giving ASU a total of six honorees. In the previous two seasons of the All-Conference Team prior to Coach McCormack's arrival, Arizona State only had a total of three selections.
"We had so many players up and down are roster that were so impactful for us this season, whether they were starting or behind the scenes each individual played a critical role in any success we had," Coach McCormack added.
Here is a closer look at each of the Sun Devil Lacrosse All-Conference student-athletes:
CARLEY ADAMS, FIRST TEAM
One of the premier attackers in the conference, Carley Adams started all 16 games for the Sun Devils. She enjoyed a historic offensive season, scoring a program-record and conference-leading 58 goals. She has 77 points, the highest in the conference and most of any Sun Devil ever. Adams had nine games with four or more goals, and 5+ goals in five games. She scored at least one goal in every game and dished out an assist in 12 of 16. Adams came up big when her team needed her the most, recording exactly seven points in each of the final three games. A scoring machine, compiling at least four points in ten games. Contributed in several ways, collecting 22 ground balls, causing seven turnovers, and earning three draw controls. Went 14 of 29 on free-position attempts, the most free-position attempt goals in the Pac-12. Two-time Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week. Adams was one of two Sun Devils selected to the Pac-12 Conference All-Tournament Team. One of the team captains and leader who set the tone with her work ethic and play on the field.
EMILY GLAGOLEV, FIRST TEAM
Emily Glagolev put together another remarkable offensive season, earning her initial appearance on the First Team and second career All-Conference honor. She has started all 16 games at attacker for Arizona State, collecting 67 points. Glagolev has a career-best 29 goals to go along with 38 assists, giving her the fourth-most points in the conference. Glagolev's passing has been elite this season, finishing with 10 more assists than the second-best in the Pac-12. The Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week on March 29th has several award-winning performances, recording five or more points in eight games this season. She has recorded at least one point in every game, highlighted by an eight-point effort in the win over Oregon. Glagolev has reached the three-goal mark in seven games and the three-assist mark in six contests. The offensive side is just part of what she brings to the table, as she has never been afraid to get involved in the midfield. Glagolev has 19 ground balls, six caused turnovers, and two draw controls to go along with her outstanding offensive stats.
BELLA GASPAR, FIRST TEAM
The top freshman defender in the league has been a breakout star of the Sun Devil defense that has held opponents to 10 goals or less in six games. She was the lone freshman and only non-senior/graduate student to make the First Team. A ground ball machine that has been a consistent and steady force on the backend with her twin sister. Gaspar has started all 16 games for Arizona State in her true freshman season, playing every possible minute. She has compiled an incredible 43 ground balls, the second-most of any Pac-12 defender and the third-most of any player in the conference. Combine that with the 17 caused turnovers, tied for the third-highest total in the Pac-12, and you get arguably the top defender in the league. Her ground ball and caused turnover numbers are by far the most of any freshman in the conference. She has only committed eight turnovers, despite heavy clearing responsibilities and the amount of ground balls collected. Gaspar had four or more ground balls in six games and forced multiple turnovers in four games this season.

BERKELEY BONNEAU, SECOND TEAM
One of the premier goalkeepers in the country, who was the backbone of a major defensive turnaround. Started 15 games in net for the Sun Devils, picking up nine wins, the most in the conference and in program history. She finished with 155 saves, also the most in the Pac-12. Serving as an extra defender, Bonneau was extremely active in net, causing opposing offenses to have to change their game plan. She had 54 ground balls, 10 more than the next-highest total in the conference. She added ten caused turnovers, frequently leaving the crease to intercept or deflect passes. She had double-digit saves in eight games this season, including an 18-save performance in the Pac-12 Conference semifinals against Stanford. Bonneau allowed single-digit goals in seven games, highlighted by allowing only three goals in 46 minutes in the win over Fresno State. Bonneau was one of two Sun Devils selected to the Pac-12 Conference All-Tournament Team. Three-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, winning the award more than any other player in the league. She was also a team leader that helped ease the transition of three new starting defenders, two of which were freshman.
KERRI CLAYTON, SECOND TEAM
Three-time Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week Kerri Clayton had a fitting end to her Sun Devil career, dominating on the offensive end. It resulted in her third career appearance on the All-Conference Second Team. Clayton is one of only three individuals to be named to all three All Pac-12 Teams since the conference began sponsoring lacrosse, joined by Colorado's Julia Lisella and Stanford's Ali Baiocco. She has a career-best 68 points which are the third-most in the conference, becoming the first Sun Devil to reach the 200-career point mark in the process. Her 40 goals are the fourth-most in the Pac-12, while her 28 assists are the second-highest total. She has delivered several dynamic performances, finishing with six or more points in six games this season. The campaign was highlighted by an epic 11-point effort against USC, helping Arizona State defeat the Trojans for the first time with a six goal, five-assist outburst. She saved her best lacrosse of the season for last, recording five or more points in four of her last six games. Clayton isn't just an offensive-minded attacker. She has committed to the ride this season, allowing her to collect 15 ground balls and caused seven turnovers. She also has a team-high three game-winning goals, coming up in the most clutch moments.
MAURA CISSEL, SECOND TEAM
Proved herself as one of the elite draw control specialists in the country, starting all 16 games in the circle. Her 111 draw controls are by far a single-season program record and is the second-highest total in the conference. The mark is the eighth-highest in the nation. Cissel had at least two draw controls in every game, including double-digit draw controls in three games. She set a single-game program record with 17 draw controls in the season finale against San Diego State, breaking her own school record. Helped Arizona State average 17.21 draw controls per game, the ninth-highest total in the country. Sun Devils had the draw control advantage in ten of 16 games, a key reason for their turnaround.
