Battling the 8-headed pyrohydra of Beoll-Dur (Roger Raupp, from AD&D module in Dragon 41, September 1980)  The signature is Tolkien’s Tengwar script for “Roger” though he more often signed with a single angular “R” similar to one of the runes in Futhark or Tolkien’s Cirth, or signed “Raupp” in a curving Celtic-inspired font as used on the covers of some early editions of Tolkien’s novels.  The use of Tengwar here may be to avoid confusion with Jim Roslof who often signed his full last name with angular Cirth-like letters.
