A YouTuber has been jailed for 15 months after feeding a homeless man an Oreo filled with toothpaste.
Kanghua Ren, known to his followers as ReSet, swapped the creme filling in the middle of the biscuit for toothpaste and offered it to a man on the streets of Barcelona.
The New York Times reports that a court in Spain has now convicted him of violating the "moral integrity" of the man, and fined him €20,000 (£17,700) as well as the jail term.
It is unlikely Ren will actually serve the jail sentence as it is his first offence and is under two years, usually suspended in Spain.
Ren accepted a dare to scrape out the white creme inside an Oreo and replace it with toothpaste, then going to find someone to eat it.
He gave the man, named as Gheorge L, €20 (£17) and the biscuit, which he ate. The man later vomited.
After Mr L ate the biscuit, Ren who was 19 at the time, said: "Maybe I went a little too far, but look on the bright side: this helped him clean his teeth."
Ren has been banned by the court from posting videos online for five years, in the ruling seen by Spanish paper El Pais, but has continued to do so, even defending his actions in the last few days.
Mr L told El Pais at the time that he had never been so badly treated in all the years he has lived on the streets.
Ren offered Mr L another €20 (£17) on a second visit and then tried to offer his daughter €300 (£266) if they did not press charges.
The 21-year-old's defence in court was that he does it to "mount a show" arguing "people like what is morbid".
But a judge ruled it was not an isolated incident, and said he had previously shown cruel behaviour toward vulnerable people. In one incident, he offered older people and children sandwiches filled with cat faeces.
The video has subsequently been deleted from his ReSet channel, which has not been removed as per court orders.
