Anders Lee can be voted into the final spot for the Metro Team’s All-Star Game roster. He would be the second New York Islanders representative.

Yesterday, we found out that Mathew Barzal is making his first All-Star Game appearance representing the New York Islanders. Barzal, now the face of the Islanders franchise, and has 36 points in 38 games.

While Barzal is certainly fitting to represent the Islanders a case could be made for Robin Lehner too. Lehner has been the steal of free agency so far, with a .930 save percentage and a 2.14 goals against average.

Plus, his story along would be good to represent the All-Star game and the NHL. Nonetheless, there is one more spot open and Anders Lee is the one fighting for it. Lee has 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points in 38 games played.

He’s on pace for his third straight 30 goal season and has yet to be an all-star. Here are the other names who he’s competing with; Teuvo Teravainen, Nick Foligno, Kyle Palmieri, Mats Zuccarello, Jakub Voracek, Nicklas Backstrom, and Kris Letang.

He has some heavy competition so if you want to see Anders Lee in a net-front presence role with the Metro team you have to vote! Voting begins at 12:00 pm today on NHL.com so be sure to head over there to send Anders to San Jose.
