CrimeStoppers seeks help finding shooting suspect

Search warrants, criminal complaints and arrest warrants have been approved.

The Carlsbad Police Department and CrimeStoppers of Eddy County are asking the public’s help to locate a woman suspected of shooting two people.

Indie Cervantes, 27, is approximately 5 feet, 5 inches, weighs 145 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes and is wanted in connection to both incidents.

Carlsbad Police officers were called to Carlsbad Medical Center on Nov. 14 regarding an adult with a gunshot wound.

The victim, who is not being identified, allegedly said the shooter was Indie Cervantes, according to a CrimeStoppers press release.

Officers were again called to the hospital on Dec. 5 regarding a woman who said she was shot by Cervantes.

The condition of either victim is not being released.

CrimeStoppers offered rewards of $50 to $1,000 for information that lead to an arrest.
