‘Frequency’ & ‘No Tomorrow’ Not Getting Back Orders From the CW As They Look For Lifeline On Netflix

The CW has opted not to order more episodes of its freshman series Frequency and No Tomorrow. Both have been soft in the ratings despite strong lead-ins and big push by the network, with time-spanning procedural Frequency looking a bit more hopeful for a partial back order. In the end, the CW decided against it. Both series will now conclude their first seasons after 13 episodes, with the season finales slated for January 17 (No Tomorrow) and January 25 (Frequency). The network is not making a cancellation decision on either series.

With their season finales set, Frequency and No Tomorrow will become the first two series under the new CW/Netflix deal to head to the streaming network. They will become available on Netflix eight days after their finales air on the CW. So, while neither show’s renewal chances at the CW are great at the moment, if any of them does well on Netflix, that presumably could help it clinch a Season 2 pickup.

Dramedy No Tomorrow was a big priority for the CW, which slotted it behind the network’s top rated series, The Flash, and re-aired the pilot behind the highly rated network premiere of Supergirl. Nevertheless, No Tomorrow has been drawing a 0.3 in adults 18-49 (Live+same day) after a 0.5 for the opener. Similarly, drama Frequency, based on the movie, also has been logging a 0.3 in the demo (L+SD), following a 0.4 for the premiere, with a smaller lead-in from Arrow.
