The collapse of Duke Nukem Forever creator 3D Realms most likely killed the game permanently, which art director Tramell Isaac apparently sees as a great reason to show off his work on the title.
Via his personal blog, Isaac has issued 8 images from the game. Most of the shots are simple environmental images, but Isaac's "Desktop Image" shows off a handful of the game's enemies -- many of whom will be instantly familiar to Duke Nukem 3D fans.
After 3D Realms' shutdown, we may never see Duke Nukem Forever on retail shelves, but images like these make me wonder just what could have been had the game been managed better. The game obviously had solid visual chops, so could 3D Realms have actually had a hit on its hands after all that development time?
