Home to entrepreneurs, movie stars, politicians, and a slew of other important people, California has a list of homes with jaw-dropping price tags. But with high prices come lavish luxuries, and these estates feature acres of land, dozens of rooms, and enough bathrooms to suit a small army. Though the housing market has seen its share of struggles, many of these ridiculous homes top out well over $100 million each.
The Spelling Manor

Located in the posh Holmby Hills portion of Los Angeles, California, The Spelling Manor, known simply as The Manor, was once the home of television magnate Aaron Spelling. The estate is said to be one of the most expensive homes in California at an estimated $175 million and the largest in Los Angeles County at 56,500 square feet. Built in 1988, The Manor had a beauty salon, a doll museum, a flower-cutting room, and several rooms dedicated solely to gift wrapping. Candy Spelling, widow to Aaron, sold the massive property in 2011 for $85 million to Petra Ecclestone, who remodeled the home and is now selling it for $175 million.
Place Fleur De Lys

Once named the most expensive home on the market back in 2008, the Fleur de Lys mansion is situated in the swanky Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The 4.6-acre property was constructed in 2002 using inspired by a Parisian palace. With floor space of 50,000 square feet, the home includes 12 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms. The home sold for $102 million in 2014.
Yuri Milner's Los Altos Hills Home

Setting a record for the most expensive single-family home ever sold in the United States, Russian billionaire Yuri Milner purchased this Silicon Valley home for a reported $100 million in 2011. Milner, who is valued at $3.7 billion in part thanks to investments in Twitter, Facebook, and Spotify, reportedly had no immediate plans to move into the massive home. The French chateau includes 25,500 square feet of living space a wine cellar, indoor and outdoor pools, and a ballroom.
Weber Mansion

Named after a former owner, the Weber Mansion sits on 7.47 acres of land on Bellagio Road in Los Angeles. The estate was purchased by telecom mogul Gary Winnick in 2000 for an astounding $94 million using what was described as a combination of real estate and other assets, which were given to former owner and businessman David Murdock. At 28,725 square feet, the home features no less than 20 bathrooms.
Hearst Beverly Hills House

Placed on the market in 2016 for $195 million after a spat between attorney and investor Leonard M. Ross and Bank of America, the Beverly Hills' Hearst estate sits at 50,000 square feet. The home was built in the 1920s and includes arched ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and 19 bedrooms. As if that wasn't enough, the home was once a vacation spot for JFK and Jackie Kennedy and the filming location for parts of The Godfather.
Weintraub's Malibu Estate

Though it's dropped in price since it was initially listed on the market by film producer Jerry Weintraub for $75 million in 2008, this Malibu, California, home rests on the beaches south of Paradise Cove. The owner of this mansion can enjoy seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms in the main house alone, plus two guest houses, an equestrian center, private beach, tennis courts, and a pool.

Previously featured on the Oprah show and once on the market for $75 million in 2008, The Portabello Estate in Corona del Mar, California, took advantage of the beautiful ocean view. Featuring eight bedrooms, an art deco theater, bowling alley, automobile museum, and cafe, the home eventually sold in 2010 for $34.1 million.
