Second Graduation Ceremony at Vietnam Japan University!

On July 20, the second Vietnam Japan University graduation ceremony was held in Hanoi, Vietnam, celebrating a new beginning for about seventy Vietnamese students.

Vietnam Japan University opened in September 2016 under the cooperation of the governments of Japan and Vietnam. Based on Japanese teaching methods, students study a two-year Master's program. In Vietnam where economic growth has been remarkable, this education holds the promise of producing human resources that can promote mutual understanding between Japan and Vietnam, and many graduates will also find employment in Japanese companies.

In September 2018, with the aim of further deepening the friendship in marking the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations established between Japan and Vietnam, Vietnam Japan University and ANA Holdings made comprehensive partnership agreements for creating internship opportunities, implementing joint research initiatives, and cooperating in university-sponsored seminars and symposiums. Accordingly, ANA’s Hanoi office accepted four university students for internships in fiscal year 2018 and will plan to accept students again in 2019.

In addition to representatives from the Japanese and Vietnamese governments, representing the ANA Group were ANA Holdings Senior Vice President and Director Mr. Shibata, General Manager of ANA’s Ho Chi Minh City Office Mr. Sugi, General Manager of ANA’s Hanoi Office Mr. Mitsui, and the Director of Mr.Shiga , who attended the graduation ceremony.

In his congratulatory remarks, Mr. Shibata said, “I am delighted that these graduates from Vietnam will go forth and contribute to the sustainable development of the world. Keeping the principles of Vietnam Japan University close to their hearts, my hope is that they will have much success. It is ANA’s wish as a partner of Vietnam Japan University to continue our support."

The ANA Group will continue to contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam and Asia.
