VTube Studio supports face tracking via webcam (using OpenSeeFace) or by using a connected iPhone/Android device as face tracker. On iOS, you need a device with FaceID or the Apple A12 (or newer) chip.

The inner camera is now accompanied by an infra-red light. The light is used to illuminate your face with light invisible to the human eye, but detectable to the camera. That is used to determine your head's shape and position relative to the non-illuminated background.
