Description

A SOCIAL NETWORKING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING
EMPOWERMENT SERVICES TO THE WOMEN
TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] The present disclosure generally relates to the field of social networking systems and method employed for establishing network communication among the users. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a social networking system and method for providing empowerment services to the women.
BACKGROUND
[002] The world is the audience for the modern day woman. Multitasking is her identity as she chooses to manage both in and outside the house. Today's woman is deft , self-sufficient and thus juggles on many fronts single-handedly
[003] On one hand where the importance of women is being recognized and rewarded on the other hand there has been a steep increase in the crime against women. Due to increased social awareness with the major contributions being from the social, print and the electronic media there has been a quest to curb the crime rate against the women.
[004] Not all women who are victimized are in a position to voice their problems due to threat from the abusers, social stigma attached to certain crimes or due to lack of awareness regarding these issues. The women need to be aware of the law, its enforcement and available public as well as private bodies to help her with the same. There is a need for a single networking platform which would act as a grievance redressal cell which would discuss the issues and also work on the limitations of the existing system.
[005] In the light of aforementioned discussion there exists a need for a social networking system that ameliorates and overcomes the above mentioned problems. BRIEF SUMMARY
[006] The following presents a simplified summary of the disclosure in order to provide a basic understanding to the reader. This summary is not an extensive overview of the disclosure and it does not identify key/critical elements of the invention or delineate the scope of the invention. Its sole purpose is to present some concepts disclosed herein in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.
[007] According to an exemplary aspect, the present disclosure is directed towards a social networking system and method for providing empowerment services to the women. The system comprises a registering unit configured to transmit a registration information request to the computing device based on category of user, a profile creating unit configured to create a user profile based on the registration information provided by the user at the registration unit and an assistance providing unit configured to provide required services to the registered user based on a posted query of the registered user.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[008] Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art upon reading the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments, in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals have been used to designate like elements, and wherein:

[0010] FIG. 2 is a diagram depicting a social networking system 102 for enabling users (preferably woman/women) to post queries for receiving services and support.
[0011] FIG. 3 is a block diagram depicting the modules of the social networking system 102, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0012] FIG.4 is a diagram depicting sub modules of the assistance providing unit 306, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0013] FIG.5 is a diagram depicting sub modules of the voices collecting module 402, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure.
