Abstract

Disclosed is a temperature measuring adapter (1) that is to be applied to the skin of a patient and comprises at least one metal contact element (2) provided for entering in direct contact with the skin, and a medical adhesive tape (3) to be taped to the skin so that the contact element (2) is retained on the skin by the adhesive tape (3); the contact element (2) includes a contact projection (4) which protrudes on the side of the adhesive tape (3) facing away from the patient's skin in order to allow a thermometer (5) to be coupled in a thermally conducting manner. Also disclosed are a thermometer (5) for use with the temperature measuring adapter (1), a communication adapter (17) for use with the thermometer (5), and a temperature measuring and monitoring system.
