Claims (14)
- A method for converting content, the method comprising the steps of:receiving a predetermined request signal from an external device;converting all or a portion of currently browsed content into data that can be browsed on the external device, based on information about the external device contained in the predetermined request signal; andtransmitting the data to the external device.
- The method of claim 1, wherein converting all or a portion of the currently browsed content into data comprises:detecting a browsing context from the currently browsed content based on the information about the external device contained in the predetermined request signal; andconverting all or a portion of the currently browsed content into data that can be browsed on the external device according to detected the browsing context.
- A method for converting content, comprising the steps of:receiving a predetermined request signal from an external device via a port to which information about the external device is assigned;converting all or a portion of currently browsed content into data that can be browsed on the external device, based on information about the external device; andtransmitting the data to the external device via the port.
- The method of claim 3, wherein converting all or a portion of the currently browsed content into data comprises:detecting a browsing context from the currently browsing content based on the information about the external device; andconverting all or a portion of the currently browsed content into data that can be browsed on the external device according to the detected browsing context.
- The method of claim 3, wherein the port is a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
- The method of claim 3, further comprising:requesting data associated with the data obtained by the conversion from an external server via a predetermined communication network;receiving the associated data; andtransmitting at least one of the data obtained by the conversion and the associated data to the external device.
- An apparatus for converting content, the apparatus comprising:a receiver that receives a predetermined request signal from an external device;a controller that converts all or a portion of currently browsed content into data that can be browsed on the external device, based on information about the external device contained in the predetermined request signal; anda transmitter that sends the data to the external device.
- The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the controller detects a browsing context from the currently browsed content based on the information about the external device contained in the predetermined request signal and converts all or a portion of the currently browsed content into data that can be browsed on the external device according to the detected browsing context.
- An apparatus for converting content, the apparatus comprising:a port to which information about an external device is assigned;a receiver that receives a predetermined request signal from an external device via the port;a controller that converts all or a portion of currently browsed content into data that can be browsed on the external device, based on information about the external device; anda transmitter that sends the resulting data to the external device via the port.
- The apparatus of claim 9, wherein the controller detects a browsing context from the currently browsed content based on the information about the external device and converts all or a portion of the currently browsed content into data that can be browsed on the external device according to the detected browsing context.
- The apparatus of claim 9, wherein the port is a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
- The apparatus of claim 9, wherein the controller controls the transmitter to request data associated with the data obtained by the conversion from an external server and upon receipt of the associated data through the receiver, selects at least one of the data obtained by the conversion and the associated data, andwherein the transmitter sends the selected data to the external device.
- A computer readable recording medium on which a program for implementing a method for converting content is recorded, the method comprising the steps of:receiving a predetermined request signal from an external device;converting all or a portion of currently browsed content into data that can be browsed on the external device, based on information about the external device contained in the predetermined request signal; andtransmitting the data to the external device.
- A computer readable recording medium on which a program for implementing a method for converting content is recorded, the method comprising the steps of:receiving a predetermined request signal from an external device via a port to which information about the external device is assigned;converting all or a portion of currently browsed content into data that can be browsed on the external device, based on information about the external device; andtransmitting the data to the external device.
