Abstract
The invention relates to an endoscopic device for examining natural cavities or joints in human or animal bodies, consisting of a wireless electronic endoscopic device comprising: a video head assembly for capturing images, a light source unit providing illumination, a light conveying unit for conveying the light from the source to the video head assembly, an extension unit, and a casing unit housing the electronic elements that control the operation of the endoscopic device. The invention is essentially characterised in that it is a portable wireless device that captures images of the areas being examined and sends said images to a laptop or desktop computer using wireless communication standards, such as Wi-Fi©, Bluetooth© and USB©, for documentation and processing.
