A method of playing a game, including the steps of: providing a plurality of game elements to the participating player to form a player hand, wherein each game element is associated with a plurality of features, each feature of the plurality of features being selected from a discrete category of features, each game element including a feature from each discrete category of features, whereby the plurality of game elements are capable of being arranged into a plurality of unique subsets of game elements by features within the discrete category of features. Resolution of the game and game play will involve the manipulation of game elements according to a first preset criteria or code from this initial condition of random game elements into a winning condition, wherein there is a second preset criteria or code for manipulating game elements for at least one of the subsets.

GAMING ELEMENTS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] The invention generally relates to games and more particularly to wagering games and methods of playing wagering games.
[0003] For example, Bingo is a game in which players purchase at least one printed or electronic 5x5 matrix card having numbers thereon. The bingo cards contain twenty- five spaces delineated by five vertical columns and five horizontal rows. Each space in the grid contains a number, except for the center square, which is often filled. The highest number generally used is 75. The letters B, I, N, G, and O are pre-printed above the five vertical columns, with one letter appearing above each column. Typically, the center space is marked "free". The printed numbers on the card are restricted by the following arrangement: 1 through 15 in the B column; 16 through 30 in the I column; 31 through 45 in the N column; 46 through 60 in the G column, and 61 through 75 in the O column.
[0004] Randomly selected numbers are then drawn and players match those numbers to those appearing on the 5x5 card. These numbers are generally located on colored balls. The first person to have a card where the drawn numbers form a specified pattern is the winner. The winner typically yells out the word "Bingo!" to notify others and inform the caller of the win. Before the prize is distributed to the winner, the card is properly checked for accuracy before the win is officially confirmed at which time the prize is secured and a new game is begun. Many games require "Bingo!" to be called before the next ball.
[0005] Bingo patterns often include straight vertical or horizontal lines, but may also include diagonal lines. Alternatively, a complete blackout may be required for a bingo. Dependent on the caller, various implementations of bingo patterns may exist making bingo an exciting game in which players can have never ending fun.

While the outcome of any particular hand at least partially involves chance, it is widely held that the long-run expectations of the players are determined by their actions chosen based on probability, psychology and game theory.
[0007] Gaming establishments or casinos continually require new games to offer their players. Players are typically attracted to games that provide relatively good odds of winning, that is, as compared with other casino games, include various wagering options and can be played rapidly.
[0008] This invention also generally relates to variations of card games, such as those known as Solitaire games, which generally refers to games involving the sorting of conventional playing cards by a single player in a specified manner according to preset rules, and may involve one or more players attempting to win one or more of such games as quickly as possible or within a particular time period.
[0009] Many solitaire games begin with dealing cards from a shuffled "deck" of cards into a prescribed arrangement on a tabletop, from which the player attempts to reorder the deck using the color of the suit and rank (e.g., from Ace to King) of the conventional cards as a distinguishing method to sort the cards through a series of moves transferring cards from one place to another under prescribed methodical restrictions. Some games allow for the reshuffling of the deck(s) which create availability or unavailability, and/or the placement of cards into new or "empty" locations of tabeleaus, "freecells" or "foundation" piles which also have restrictions or conditions upon them which ultimately determines if a game can be solved or otherwise reach a winning condition.
[0010] Despite there being many versions of solitaire, all are limited to the same 13 ranks and most games require the reorder of the "deck" in the sequential build of cards to alternate between classes (colors), e.g. red/b!ack/red/black/red etc. These limitations can cause many of the games to become undesirably unsolvable. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0052] Some embodiments relate to a game device or system having a plurality of unique game elements, such as for example, cards, tokens, tiles, and balls, as well as virtual or graphical representations thereof, which may be configured and adapted for use in a variety of game methods.

The player will strategically choose a card to start a domino effect of connecting cards in sequential order higher or lower to the top most foundation card. Once a card is in the foundation 1504, cards may be moved from the tableau into the foundation if their face value is one more or one less than that of the card on top of the foundation. A 1 card is the lowest in Golf and only a 2 may be played on it when it is on top of the foundation. In the current embodiment, 13 is highest card and no card may be played on top of the highest card in the sequence in the foundation. If you place the highest card into the foundation, you must draw a card from the stock. If you can't make any more moves from the tableau, you may also draw a card from the stock. In other embodiments of the game the 1 or the 13 can be built upon by restarting at the top or bottom of the sequence with a 1 on top of a 13 or a 12 on a 13 or a 13 on a 1.

Cards may be placed into the foundation in pairs by summing their card values to 13. A card is considered "in play" if it was just dealt as a face up card from the stock, it is the top card in the waste or it is a pyramid cards that is completely uncovered. A card can not be played if the card is covered by another card that it could be paired with, it is still not in play (since it is covered) and the cards may not be paired. The 13 card does not need to be paired with any other card and can be immediately moved to the foundation once it is in play. Claims

[00186] CLAIMS Wnat is claimed is:
1. A device for playing games, comprising a plurality of game elements, wherein each game element is associated with a plurality of features, each feature of the plurality of features being selected from a discrete category of features, each game element including a feature from each discrete category of features, whereby the plurality of game elements are capable of being arranged into a plurality of subsets of game elements by features within the discrete category of features, wherein the discrete categories of features are selected from the group consisting of colors, alphabetic characters, ideographic characters and numerical values.
2. A game device as in Claim 1, wherein the game elements are playing cards.
3. A game device as in Claim 1, wherein the game elements are game tiles.
4. A game device as in Claim 1, wherein the game elements are virtual representations of cards.
5. A game device as in Claim 1 , wherein each game element includes a color, and alphabetic character and a numerical value.
6. A game device as in Claim 1 , wherein the game elements are of different colors and each subset of game elements of different colors include the same set of alphabetic characters and numerical values.
7. A method of playing a game, comprising the steps of:
a. accepting a player to participate in the game;
b. providing a plurality of game elements to the participating player to form a player hand, wherein each game element is associated with a plurality of features, each feature of the plurality of features being selected from a discrete category of features, each game element including a feature from each discrete category of features, whereby the plurality of game elements are capable of being arranged into a plurality of unique subsets of game elements by features within the discrete category of features;
c. dealing at least a portion of the game elements into an initial condition according to a preset configuration; and
d. receiving changes to the initial condition of the game elements dealt from one or more subsets by moving game elements within the preset configuration according to a first preset criteria;
e. receiving changes to the initial condition of the game elements dealt from at least one subset by moving the game elements from the at least one subset according to a second preset criteria;
f. comparing the condition of the game elements with a winning condition to determine whether the winning condition is satisfied.
8. A method according to Claim 7, wherein the step of accepting a player participating in the game further comprises receiving a wager from the player.
9. A method according to Claim 7, wherein the one or more categories of features comprise numeric values, alphabetic characters, colors, ideographic characters, symbols and graphics.
10. A method according to Claim 7, wherein the game elements are divisible into a plurality of subsets of game elements, whereby the game elements of each subset of the plurality include an exclusive feature from a sole category of features and the same combinations of the remaining features from other categories of features.
1 1. An electronic gaming machine comprising:
a. a input device configured for receiving player instructions;
b. a display configured for displaying representations of cards;
c. a processor configured for:
i. randomly providing a plurality of representations of game cards to the participating player to form a player hand, wherein each game card is associated with a plurality of features, each feature of the plurality of features being selected from a discrete category of features, each game card including a feature from each discrete category of features, whereby the plurality of game cards are capable of being arranged into a plurality of unique subsets of game cards by features within the discrete category of features;
ii. dealing at least a portion of the game elements into an initial condition according to a preset configuration;
iii. receiving changes to the initial condition of the game elements dealt from one or more subsets by moving game elements within the preset configuration according to a first preset criteria;
iv. receiving changes to the initial condition of the game elements dealt from at least one subset by moving the game elements from the at least one subset according to a second preset criteria;
v. comparing the condition of the game elements with a winning condition to determine whether the winning condition is satisfied.
12. An electronic gaming machine according to Claim 11 , wherein the one or more categories of features comprise numeric values, alphabetic characters, colors, ideographic characters, symbols and graphics.
