Abstract

An apparatus for loading a bone graft material (1000) includes a preloading assembly (200), and a dispensing assembly (600). A method of dispensing bone graft material (1000) includes loading bone graft material (1000) into the preloader assembly (200), compacting the material and transferring the compacted bone graft material (1000) into a cannula (610) of the dispensing assembly (600). The compacted bone graft material (1000) is vented to release unwanted or undesirable air, vapor or other gases from the bone graft material (1000).
