Abstract

The following text describes a new technology in surgical instrumentation such as the plataform invent described in this document. The plataform is assembled in parts such as the holder (100), the handwheel (200), a curved tube (300), a plataform (400), a rigid tube (500), an articulated adaptor (600) and a distal head (700). The distal head guides the laparoscopic instruments to the pneumoperitoneau cavity. The second type of plataform, as shown in figure 2, is an upgrade of surgical instrument with flexible features. The plataform is assembled with parts such as the holder (200), to control the movements of the distal head, a curved tube (300) and a plataform (400). The new control in this second type of plataform is the knobs (900) that gives the flexible tube (800) a specific curve. The end of the flexible tube is mounted with an articulated distal head (700). The flexible tube is driven by wire cables (610), controlled by the knobs (900), mounted in the top of the holder.

Description

NEW TECHNOLOGY IN SURGICAL INSTRUMENTATION INVENTION FIELD
The following invention describes the upgrade of a surgical instrument. The invention is particulary designed for surgical technic called NOTES (Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgeruy), with accurated of the controls and its movable devices. THE INVENTION'S PAST
The surgical technic called NOTES (Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery) is an upgrade of the endoscopic capabilites, to access the laparoscopic cavity for diagnosys and therapeutic purposes, also including several types of surgical procedures such as tubal ligation, ooforectomy, partial histerectomy, gastrojejunostomy, apendicectomy, colecistectomy, splenectomy and linfadenectomy.
The proper combination of surgian-instrument-patient is required for the use of these specific instruments. The used videolaparoscopic instruments can be listed as forceps, scissors and dissection forceps, that must be introduced in the plataform for proper use.
However, the NOTES surgical technic requires hability and accuracy of movement from the surgian during the performance of the surgical technic, operating with independent movement of both forceps and the invention plataform, with precise control.
There is no specific literature that describes a surgical instrument that is capable of independent movement in combination with the videolaparoscopic instruments nowadays. This feature is described as the upgrade in the surgical instrumentation. SUMMARY
The following document describes an upgrade in the surgical instrumentation for videolaparoscopy. The main feature of the plataform is a new concept design that helps and performs the surgical technic called NOTES.
The plataform has independent movement of the head, without combination to the forceps instruments. DESCRIPITION OF THE FIGURES

INVENTION DETAILS
The following text describes the features included in figure 1 of this document. The upgrade in surgical instrumentation (plataform), shown here as an invention for NOTES surgical procedure, it is assembled in a combination of parts such as the holder (100), two handwheels (200), a curved tube (300), the plataform (400) and a rigid tube (500) with an articulated adaptor (600) for the distal head (700). The distal head and the forceps instruments has independent controlls and movements. The tubes in the plataform (400) are designed to input the forceps instruments and them lead them to exit in the distal head. The tubes are mounted with silicon sealings to keep the pneumoperitoneu of the abdominal cavity.
Once the forceps instruments entered the plataform (400), these are guided to the rigid tube (500) and them to the distal head. The distal head is assembled with an articulated adaptor (600) that limits the amplitude of movement, driven by cables that are controlled by handwheels (200). These type of mechanism performs a precise movement of the distal head.
The forceps instruments outputs the plataform though the distal head (700) with a driven direction. Once outside the distal head the forceps are free of use individually and with independent movement for all the used forceps required for the surgical procedure. These mix of plataform and instrument movement allows the surgical procedure to be executed with greater accuracy and precision.
The end^of the flexible tube is mounted with an articulated distal head (700) . The flexible tube is driven by wire cables (610), controlled by the knobs (900), mounted in the top of the holder. This type of plataform with flexible tube and control features is particulary designed for intra vaginal surgical procedures.
The laparoscopic instruments (forceps) are capable of use by entering the plataform tubes (400). The tubes are mounted with silicon sealings to keep the pneumoperitoneu of the abdominal cavity.
The surgical instrument called here the plataform, the main invention's subject, is featured with three way channel to be used by laparoscopic instruments, a channel for air insufflation and a channel for flexible optical camera.

Claims

CLAIMS:
1. NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN SURGICAL INSTRUMENTATION The plataform is assembled with parts such as a holder (100), two handwheels (200), a curved tube (300), a plataform (400) and a rigid tube (500). There is an articulated adaptor (600) assembled with a distal head (700). This head is driven by wire cables controlled by the handwheels (200). The head is also cabable to provide orientation of movement to the laparoscopic instruments.
2. NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN SURGICAL INSTRUMENTATION The plataform is assembled with parts such as a holder (100), with distal head driven by wire, and this controlled by two knobs mounted in the top of the holder, a curved tube (300) and a plataform (400) for instruments input, a distal head (700) to output the instruments. These instruments are guided through a flexible tube (800) that is driven by wire.
