Abstract

The invention relates to an arrangement and method for determining a load current that flows through a consumer (4) present in a vehicle, said consumer (4) being connected to a voltage source (1) via a switch (2) and the arrangement comprising a current transformer (3). Said current transformer has at least one primary winding (31) which is connected to the consumer (4) and at least one secondary winding (33) on which a secondary signal (u2) can be tapped. The load current (i1) can be detected by means of said signal and the secondary signal (u2) can be produced by switching the switch (2).
