Abstract
The invention relates to an input device (4), particularly for a motor vehicle. Said input device (4) comprises a display unit (12) for optically representing at least one operator's element (55, 56, 80) to which a first function and at least one second function are allocated, the second function being different from the first function, and a touch screen (11) which is disposed above the display unit (12) and is used for recognizing a contact of the touch screen (11) in the area of the operator's element (55, 56, 80). The inventive input device (4) further comprises a controller (10) for deciding whether the first function or the second function is to be actuated in accordance with the duration of a contact with the touch screen (11) in the area of the operator's element (55, 56, 80).
