Abstract

Positioning joint system, especially for gripping and setting up the horizontal position of measuring instruments, created with bearing body (1) modified for mounting to base (2). Essence of the invention is, that body (1) is modified for rotary plain bearing lodgment of ball pivot (3), which is partly equipped for connection with extending element (4) and partly is from above pressed inset (5) to ball pivot (3), whereas body (1) and inset (5) are mutually coupled with sleeve nut (7), which is on perimeter modified for manual control by operator.

Positioning joint system, especially for set-up of horizontal position
Technical field
The invention coincides into accessory zone of device technique and solves the construction of positioning joint system, especially for setting up a horizontal position, delivered as a part of measuring, aiming, rectifying and other devices used in exacting terrain or mobile vehicles.
Present prior art
At present time for setting up a horizontal position of measuring, optical, scanning and other devices and equipment are used bracing, tripods, devices or equipment of different versions and constructions, whose basis is ball-joint or head, as, for instance, is possible to document with solution according to files WO 00/39498, WO 03/O46430, EP 349948, EP 984219, EP 1099900, DE 4333913, DE 19839461 , CH 680466, CH 687641 , US 4974802, US 5769370 or US 6581892. Altogether these solutions are constructionaly complicated, designed for special use, whose common disadvantage is complicated and tedious pre-setting of required exact position, whereto is in large majority need co-operation of both hands of operator.
We know solution of fastening joint for geodetic devices according to CS PAT 229713, concerning creating swiveling clamping system with possibility of removable gripping, setting up and fastening on solid screwing. The solution consists of hemispherical joint, on which fits hemispheric shell held down by formed inset by the help of nut on screw. Hemispherical joint is on its opposite side elonged into extender and axially it has an opening, whereby nut bolt goes through, whereon fits mentioned extender of hemispherical joint. Simultaneously is the free end of the bearing screw captured e.g. to wall and spherical shell is elonged into arms of anchorage. Disadvantage of this solution is usability only at fastening into solid base, which excludes its operative mobile use on different places in short time, eventually its use on portable tripods.
Further known solution is represented by the device according to CS PAT 214411 , concerning balancing head for gripping of measure devices. The essence of this balancing head is that its ball-joint is fitted with ball pivot for fastening the measuring device. This ball pivot is then lodged into ball saddle of the stand and opposite to stand is fastened ringlet with inner spherical flat. The ringlet is forced off of the stand and the ball pivot by springs. For fixing the ball pivot is then the ringlet fitted with eccentric srewed-in screw with lever into the stand. In case of strengthening of the ball pivot, is necessary to break down with eccentric hand lever with screw not only the force of three springs in the stand, but the power of central pressure spring as well. The resultant of these four forces operates in the centre of ball pivot, whereas detreading of both halves of the balancing head proceeds eccentrically on ringlet perimeter through one screw of small caliber diameter . Thereby, at draw up, comes up to tilting moment, v\ hich requires higher tightening force and whereby the strain of the threaded joint and ring let increases, which influences service life and reliability of stressed parts. Further disadvantage of this solution is, that construction of balancing head causes that at bigger angle of tilt , part of the ball pivot protrude out of spherical flat of the ringlet, which can lead to pollution of the pivot or its damage in intensive conditions. Simultaneously, the balancing head allows deflection of vertical ball pivot axis from vertical line by 18° in all directions, which may be regarded, in some more exacting cases of use, as unsatisfactory value. Likewise, dividing plane between the stand and the ringlet is not protected against moisture and dirt penetration, which can lead to abnormal wear of spherical seating. This construction of balancing head, likewise, does not solve the way of locking the position of two adjustable screws, on whose heads at released joint, springs are pressed up the perimeter of the ringlet, but at the fastening of the joint these screws relieve and are not secured in any way. Essence of the invention
Mentioned deficiency basically solves positioning joint system, especi ally for gripping and setting up the horizontal position of measuring devices, created by bearing body modified for mounting to base. Essence of the invention is, that the body is modified for rotary plain bearing of the ball pivot, which is partly equipped for con nection with adjustable extending element and partly is from above the inset pushed into to ball pivot, whereas body and inset are mutually coupled by sleeve nut, which is on perimeter modified for manual control by operator.
Further essence of the invention is, that the ball pivot is in upper part procured with cylindrical bush, in whose is cavity for connection with adjustable extending element created. Simultaneously, the upper face of the body has a lower hemispherical concave flat and the inset has a upper hemispherical concave flat, between them is the ball pivot lodged, whereas the inset has a conical cut out for delimitation of extreme positions of the bush swing. The inset is in its upper part procured with outer peripheral recess, in which is spiral pressure spring lodged.
Essence of the invention, as well, is that the sleeve nut is adjustably lodged on tightening thread, created on outer peripheral flat of the body and fitted with detent lever.
According to the invention, new and higher effect is achieved because the joint provides not only accurate setting of solid angle deviation of upper tilting part from axis vertical to lower base, but allows also rotation around it, whereas is possible to lock it in any set position with simple movement by rotary lever and thereby fix the set position. Simultaneously, at the release of hold-down position, the device stays all the time gently fixated by the pressure of pressure spring, so that there is light resistance at setting movement, joint is not completely loose and does not tilt over spontaneously. Further advantage of the construction is, that the ball pivot is in all positions completely gripped by spherical flats, of its upper and lower part, when disclosed stays only a part of the upper flat needed for inclining from vertical line. This is, however, covered with parts gripped above the joint. Dividing plane between the solid and rotary part is created with fine thread, which defends enough against penetration of moisture and impurity. Compared to known solutions, the construction allows the axis deflection of ball pivot from vertical line by 25° in all directions, which expands the field of device use. Finally, it is not insignificant contribution, that the device is possible to be taken in simple way to single parts and at re-assembly the pre-setting and regulation of functional elements is not demanded.
Description of pictures on enclosed drawings
Particular design of the positioning joint system according to the invention is schematic illustrated on enclosed drawing, where Fig.1 shows the positioning joint system cut, with marked connection with base and with the extension element, and Fig.2 represents detailed positioning joint system cut in axonometric view.
Examples for carry out the invention
The positioning joint system is created by bearing body (1), whose low face (11) is modified with advantage with connecting tapped hole (12), for connection to base (2), for example to tripod of measuring device or to the holder. Upper face (13) of the body (1) has a lower hemispheric conclave flat (14), on whose is rotary plain bearing lodged the ball pivot (3), fitted in upper part with cylindrical bush (31), whose cavity (3 1) is modified for the connection with extending element (4), for example with positi oning apparatus of measuring device or by gauge or aiming tool. From above is on ball pivot (3) by its upper hemispheric concave flat (51) rotary plain bearing lodged the inset (5), with conic cut out (52) for delimitation of swing extreme positions of bush (31) of th e ball pivot (3), and connected extending elements (4) as well. The inset (5) has then in upper part an outer peripheral recess (53), in which spiral pressure spring (6) is lodged . The bearing body (1) and the inset (5) are mutually coupled by from above set sleeve nut (7),which is screwed on to tightening thread (15) created on outer peripheral flat (16) of the body (1).The sleeve nut (7) is then fitted with detent lever (8) modified for easy manual handling, for example with spherical ending (81).
At using, the assembled positioning joint system is fastened, that means screwed down to base (2) which by various reasons, for example terrain unevenness does not need to sit in optimal starting horizontal position. Afterwards, by the help of detent lever (8) the ball pivot (3) is released from the gripping between the body (1) and the inset (5), whereby is allowed the arbitrary setting of required position of extending element (4) in the range given by conical ness of inset (5) cut out (52), when deviatio n of deflection from the vertical line of the ball pivot (3) in all directions can be up to 25° . By action of the pressure spring (6) subsequently it does not come to total release and to spontaneous tipping of the ball pivot (3), which stays gently stabilized but lightly adjustable. After setting the required position of the extending element (4) is by the action of the detent lever (8) the positioning joint system re-fixed and it is possible to carry on elected activities, for example measuring. At special sensitive measuring request, it is subsequently possible to trim the horizontal position by the he lp of adjusting elements (41), which can be part of extending element (4).
Industrial application
The positioning joint system according to the invention is possible to be used as a part of various measuring, aiming, rectifying, scanning, positioning , and similar devices.

Claims

PATENT CLAIMS
1. Positioning joint system, especially for gripping and setting up the horizontal position of measuring instruments, created with bearing body (1) modified for mounting to base (2), wherein body (1) is modified for rotary plain bearing lodgment of ball pivot (3), which is partly equipped for connection with extending element (4) and partly is from above pressed inset (5) to ball pivot (3), whereas body (1) and inset (5) are mutually coupled with sleeve nut (7), which is on perimeter modified for manual control by operator.
2. Positioning joint system according to the claim 1 , wherein ball pivot (3) is fitted in upper part with cylindrical bush (31), in whose is cavity (311) created for connecting with extending element (4).

Positioning joint system according to the claims 1 and 2, wherein upper face (13) of the body (1) has a lower hemispheric concave flat (14) and inset (5) h as an upper hemispheric concave flat (51), between them is lodged ball pivot (3), whereas inset (5) has a conical cut out (52) for delimitation of swing extreme positions of the bush (31).
4. Positioning joint system according to the claims 1 to 3, wherein inset (5) has in upper part an outer peripheral recess (53) in which is spiral pressure spring (6) lodged.
5. Positioning joint system according to the claims 1 to 4, wherein sleeve nut (7) is adjustably lodged on tightening thread (15), created on outer peripheral flat (16) of the body (1).
6. Positioning joint system according to the claims 1 to 5, wherein sleeve nut (7) is fitted with detent lever (8).
