Abstract

The use of diamond as raw material for producing mechanical parts offers many advantages: the low friction factor of said material makes it usable for friction parts as well as the impact strength thereof makes it appropriately usable for certain parts. The mechanical strength of the material makes it possible to reduce the sizes of the mechanical parts and even to cut out holes therein. The high value of the coefficient of elasticity makes it possible to produce the parts exposed to elastic stress such as spiral springs.
