Abstract

A mobile ad-hoc network includes a plurality of intermediate mobile nodes (2, 3, 5) between the source node (1) and the destination node (4), and a plurality of wireless communication links connecting the nodes. The source node discovers routing to the destination node, ranks the discovered routes according to at least one link metric, and distributes message data to the destination node the routes based on the ranking. The link metric may include a measurement of link delay, link capacity, link available capacity, and/or link reliability.
