Abstract

Workstation for informatique, specially designed so as to allow its user to become integrated to the computer, printer, keyboard, etc., keeping them ergonomically distributed around the user, since the station is wheeled, allowing its free movement to preferable positions, controlling the illumination, temperature, ventilation conditions, etc., including cabinets disposed to the left and of the right of the typing chair, for the built-in of CPU and peripherals, being the keyboard and monitor arranged on a movable frame, articulated by hinges so as to allow its free spin, positioning itself in front of the user for work and supports for sounding boards placed backwards and apart from one another enabling the surrounding sound.

Description

Workstation for Informatique
Summary
The following descriptive report of the patent of a utility model refers to the development of a workstation for informatique, specially designed so as to allow its user to become integrated to the computer, printer, keyboard, etc, keeping them ergonomically distributed around the user, since the station is wheeled, allowing its free movement to preferable positions, controlling the illumination, temperature, ventilation conditions, etc , including cabinets disposed to the left and to the right of the typing chair, for the built-in of CPU and peripherals, being the keyboard and monitor arranged on a movable frame, articulated by hinges so as to allow its free spin, positioning itself in front of the user for work and supports for sounding boards placed backwards and apart from one another enabling the surrounding sound.
State of Technique
The workstation is an integrated concept between the user and the several informatique accessories, so as to keep them accessible and ergonomically correct, designing software or hardware that is comfortable and safe for use.
According to this way of thinking, several kinds of workstations have been designed. The best well-known in the market are the rack or informatique's bookcases. These more simple products do not fulfill ts promise to integrate both the user and the software, however, they are considered as being the first trials to establish a correct positioning for the informatique's user for work. The stations themselves, are working modules where the hardware, chair, bookcases and shelves are positioned at the user's hand reach, preventing him from moving around. Another factor is the comfort to work, avoiding the DORT in case of a more intense typing. A maximum exponent of this kind of workstation, creates an enclosure where the user is integrated to the hardware, with all the peripheral devices at reach, total ergonomy in relation to the typing chair and, yet, the station is able to follow the ecliptic, thus allowing the perfect control of natural illumination. However, the cost of a workstation of this nature amounts to US$ 8,000 , making it prohibitively expensive to most of the users.
Proposed Development
What is proposed in this presentation is a workstation which enables the integration of the user to the hardware and that preserves, at the same time, the users' posture in relation to the work he is developing.
Having this in mind, the workstation presents the following characteristics:
- It is totally movable, including the typing chair, and it can move around with the user sitted. This aspect allows the user to look for a better position of natural illumination, bringing the whole station near a window, or moving away in case of excessive heat or wind;
- All the peripherals are integrated among them and are available to the user, without having to leave the station. The computer and the printer are closed inside cabinets to the left and to the right. The video, keyboard and mouse are placed on the frame with an angle-like articulation that can be moved to be placed in front of the typist;
- Above the cabinets, there are boards that can be moved off the frame creating extra room for work, as well as movable boards right below the upper barrel;
- Straight ahead the chair or armchair, there are bent rails where one can insert a board so as to create another room for work;
- The cabinets also have drawers and doors with keys, limiting its access just to authorized people;
- All the cables, that attach the hardware among them, leave from the cabinets through the adapters, that besides allowing a better functioning, improves the aesthetic aspect of the station. Description of the Pictures
The characterization of the patent of the utility model now proposed, is made through representative drawings of the workstation for informatique, so that , it can be easily reproduced through the use of adequate technique, allowing full characterization of the working of
:he eligible object.
From the drawings, that express the best way to manufacture the product now idealized, lies the descriptive part of the report, through a detailed and consecutive enumeration, where it clarifies aspects that may not have been so well understood through the adopted representation, so as to clearly determine the protection now wanted.
These drawings are merely illustrative, for there may be variations , as long as they do not modify the original design.
In this case, we have the following:
- The picture 1 illustrates a representation in perspective of the complete workstation in a presentation position, showing all the integrated parts of the same, with the linking structure of the monitor and keyboard moved to the side, allowing the access to the seat;
- The picture 2 illustrates a view in perspective of the workstation's detail, showing one of the cabinets opened, from where one can see a drawer and file projected. The frontal board inserted in a bent-like way facing the seat is also visible;
- The picture 3 illustrates a view in perspective of another detail of the station, showing the upper board of the cabinet moved by rails, exposing its internal part and creating other working spaces; and
- The picture 4 illustrates a view in perspective of a posterior detail of the workstation, showing the support of the sounding boards and adapters in the outlets of the cable from inside of the cabinets. Allegations
