Description

A REFILL ED TYPE BUTANE GAS CASK
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a cask of butane gas widely used as a fuel of a portable gas burner, and more particularly, to a butane gas cask configured to be refilled with butane gas and recycled semipermanently by simply replacing a packing fitted into a nozzle when the packing is worn.
Background Art
Daily conveniences and necessities produced from resources have been the source of environmental problems, for example, environmental pollution due to wastes from used products, disposal expenses of the wastes, exhaustion of resources and so on. Many kinds of recycling techniques have been researched for an adequate solution to the environmental problems.
However, since existing recycling techniques are not yet highly developed have been proposed, they are still often problematic in view of consumption of the resources and disposal expenses and time of wastes.
For instance, butane gas casks are being thrown away without being recycled, when butane gas, which is a main fuel of indoor, outdoor portable gas burners/stoves that are widely used owing to their easy, convenient manipulation, is used up. The butane gas casks that are being thrown away after butane gas contained therein is used up, cause environmental pollution, a burden of the manufacture costs of butane gas casks or additional costs for collecting and treating used butane gas casks, which are inefficient from the viewpoint of recycling of resources. Disclosure of the Invention
To solve the problems and disadvantages of the prior art, it is an object of the present invention to provide a refillable butane gas cask configured to be repeatedly refilled with butane gas semi-permanently and to be capable of replacing only a packing fitted into a nozzle when the packing is worn, thereby saving the resources.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a refillable butane gas cask that can be easily assembled or dissembled and can replace a seating valve which is liable to be damaged or deformed during use, thereby semi-permanently recycling the same.
To accomplish the above objects, the present invention provides a refillable butane gas cask including a gas cask body having upper and lower parts sealed with upper and lower caps, an inlet pipe having an upper projecting portion welded to the center of the upper cap so as to protrude outside the upper cap and having a female screw formed at the interior of the projecting portion, a spring inserted into the inside of the inlet pipe, a nozzle safely seated at the upper portion of the spring, a packing inserted into the nozzle, a nozzle cap having a throughhole formed to be fitted into the upper portion of the nozzle and having a male screw engaged with the female screw of the inlet pipe at the lower portion of the nozzle, and a seating valve fitted around the upper portion of the projecting portion disposed at the upper portion of the inlet pipe. A disposable gas cask can be configured to be refillable and a packing can be simply replaced separately when the packing is worn or deformed. Thus, environmental pollution arising due to used gas casks can be prevented and the resources can be efficiently recycled.
In the present invention, a seating valve installed to mount the butane gas cask on a portable burner body is fitted into the exterior side of an exposed portion of the leading end of the inlet pipe and fixed by the nozzle cap. Thus, the seating valve can be replaced with new one by removing the nozzle cap when the seating valve is damaged or deformed.
Brief Description of the Drawings
FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a refilled type butane gas cask according to an embodiment of the present invention;
FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the refilled type butane gas cask according to an embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 3 is a partly cut-away view of essential parts of the refilled type butane gas cask shown in FIG. 2; and
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the refilled type butane gas cask according to another embodiment of the present invention.
Best mode for carrying out the Invention
The present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIGS. 1 and 2 are an exploded perspective view and a cross- sectional view of a refilled type butane gas cask according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a partly cut-away view of essential parts of the refilled type butane gas cask shown in FIG. 2. The refilled type butane gas cask includes a gas cask body 1 having upper and lower parts sealed with upper and lower caps 2 and 3, an inlet pipe 4 having an upper projecting portion 5 welded to the center of the upper cap 2 so as to protrude outside the upper cap 2 and having a female screw 6 formed at the interior of the projecting portion 5, a spring 7 inserted into the inside of the inlet pipe 4, a nozzle 8 safely seated at the upper portion of the spring 7, a packing 9 inserted into the nozzle 8, a nozzle cap 10 having a throughhole 11 formed to be fitted into the upper portion of the nozzle 8 and having a male screw 1 engaged with the female screw 6 of the inlet pipe 4 at the lower portion of the nozzle 8, and a seating valve 13 fitted around the upper portion of the projecting portion 5 disposed at the upper portion of the inlet pipe 4. The butane gas cask according to the present invention is assembled such that the inlet pipe 4 is welded to the upper cap 2, the spring 7, the nozzle 8 and the packing 9 are inserted into the inlet pipe 4 in a state in which the seating valve 12 is fitted into the exterior side of the upper projecting portion 5 of the inlet pipe 4, and the male screw 12 of the nozzle cap 10 is screwed into the female screw 6 of the upper portion of the inlet pipe 4. When the packing 9 made of rubber or silicon fitted into the nozzle 8, is worn, only the nozzle cap 10 is removed and replaced with new one to be recycled and all elements except the packing 9 can be reused semi-permanently, so that the problem arising by throwing away used butane gas casks can be solved, saving the manufacture and purchase costs of butane gas casks.
Reference symbol 8a denotes a nozzle hole, reference symbol 8b denotes an orifice pierced at the bottom end of the nozzle hole, and reference symbol 8c denotes a flange portion formed to fit the packing 9 into the portion where the orifice is formed.
As shown in FIG. 3, the packing 9 is contracted as the nozzle cap 10 is locked to thus clog the orifice 8b. When mounted into a portable gas burner using gas or mounted into a filler device refilling gas, the nozzle 10 is pressed inward, the nozzle hole 8a which has been clogged by the packing is opened, allowing exhaustion and induction of gas.
Also, since the packing 9 is installed between the nozzle cap 10 and the inlet pipe 4, airtightness between the nozzle cap 1 Q and the inlet pipe 4 can be maintained, thereby preventing leakage of gas.
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the refilled type butane gas cask according to another embodiment of the present invention. In a refilled type butane gas cask according to this embodiment or a general disposable butane gas cask, a nozzle 8' having the same configuration of the nozzle installed at the upper cap 2 is installed at a lower cap 3 of a gas cask body 1. Gas is refilled through the nozzle of the lower cap 3 or air is exhausted from the used gas cask to be refilled.
In this embodiment, the nozzle 8' welded to the lower cap 3 is positioned to be higher than the bottom of the gas cask body 1.
The refilled type butane gas cask according to the present invention can be repeatedly recycled by refilling butane gas after exhausting interior air of a used gas cask using a filler device. When a packing made of rubber is worn or an elasticity coefficient of a spring is decreased due to repeated uses, the packing or spring has only to be replaced with new one. Also, when a seating valve is deformed or damaged, the butane gas cask can be reused just by replacing the seating valve with new one.
Industrial Applicability
As described above, according to the present invention, a disposable gas cask is configured to be refillable and a packing, spring or seating valve can be simply replaced separately when the packing, spring or seating valve is worn or deformed. According to the present invention, environmental pollution arising due to used gas casks can be prevented and the resources can be efficiently recycled. Also, the gas cask can be semi-permanently reused by replacing the packing, spring and seating valve, thereby reducing the manufacturing and disposal costs.
