Description

Usually, a plate heat exchanger is composed of superposed plates which, after soldering, welding or clamping, form two series of circulation channels, allowing the flow of a refrigerant and a fluid to be cooled. . Mechanical means are also provided for making these two series of channels independent, so that the refrigerant and the fluid to be cooled do not come into mutual contact.
The invention relates more particularly to a plate exchanger, intended to be supplied with a two-phase refrigerant, comprising a liquid fraction and a vapor fraction when it is admitted into this exchanger. When this two-phase fluid flows in the corresponding circulation channels, it is subject to vaporization of its initially liquid fraction, which allows the cooling of the fluid to be cooled flowing in the adjacent channels.
In known manner, such a plate exchanger comprises a pipe for supplying the two-phase refrigerant fluid, which opens into a collecting zone of this fluid. This zone extends opposite all of the circulation channels, that is to say longitudinally with reference to the main direction of flow of the refrigerant, at the outlet of the above-mentioned supply line.
The plate heat exchangers mentioned above have certain drawbacks. In fact, their performance increases in a roughly linear manner with the number of plates which equip them, up to a threshold value corresponding to approximately 50 to 60 plates, namely between 25 and 30 channels of circulation of the coolant and the fluid. to refere. Beyond this threshold value, the performance of the exchanger tends to stagnate, or even decrease as the number of plates of the exchanger, and therefore its size, is increased. This is detrimental, insofar as the exchanger is limited in its performance.
In order to overcome these drawbacks, the invention proposes to produce a plate heat exchanger whose performance is improved compared to the prior art, and in particular continue to increase beyond the threshold value of plates of this exchanger , which is mentioned above.
For this purpose, it relates to a plate heat exchanger, comprising several plates, housed in the interior volume of the exchanger and defining first and second series of independent circulation channels, respectively for the circulation of a diphasiσae fluid. refrigerant and a fluid to be refrigerated, said exchanger also comprising a supply line for the two-phase refrigerant fluid opening into an inlet collecting zone extending opposite said first channels, characterized in that said supply line is equipped a distributor of said two-phase refrigerant, this distributor comprising a plate provided with perforations, said perforated plate being interposed on the flow path of said two-phase refrigerant.
L'invention va être décrite ci-dessous, en référence aαx dessins annexés, donnés uniquement à titre d'exemples non limitatifs et dans lesquels :The invention will be described below, with reference to ααx appended drawings, given only by way of nonlimiting examples and in which:

The plate heat exchanger illustrated in Figure 1, which is designated as a whole by the reference 2, contains several plates 6 extending in parallel, which define first 8 and second 10 series of channels, arranged alternately. In known manner, means are provided for preventing communication between two adjacent channels 8, 10. These means, which can for example be produced by stamping, are shown schematically, for the sake of clarity, by dividing lines 12.
Cette canalisation 14 est munie d'un épaulement périphérique 16, contre lequel vient en butée un raccord 18 permettant l'alimentation de ce fluide réfrigérant .The exchanger 2 also comprises a supply pipe 14 for a two-phase refrigerant fluid, intended to flow in the first channels 8. This pipe 14 is provided with a peripheral shoulder 16, against which a connector 18 abuts allowing the supply of this coolant.
The exchanger 2 also conventionally includes an outlet for the refrigerant, as well as an inlet and an outlet for a fluid to be cooled, all three not shown.
Comme le montre la figure 2, ce distributeur est formé d'une plaqueFurthermore, a distributor 20 is interposed between the shoulder 16 and the opposite end of the connector 18. As shown in Figure 2, this distributor is formed of a plate
This plate comprises a central part 22 in which perforations 24 are formed, and around which extends an annular planar border 26, intended for fixing the plate 20 on the shoulder 16. The border 26 can be solid or perforated , and can be secured to the shoulder 16 by means of a mechanical fixing or by welding, or even be simply pressed against this shoulder 16, by the opposite end of the fitting 18.
En tout état de cause, leur diamètre est supérieur à 0,1 mm.The diameter of these perforations varies as a function of different parameters, in particular the size of the plate, the flow rate of the refrigerant fluid and the physicochemical properties of the latter. In any event, their diameter is greater than 0.1 mm.
Then, this fluid opens into a collector, or inlet collection zone 28, which extends longitudinally in the direction of flow of this fluid . This collection zone 28 is thus arranged facing all of the channels 8, 10. The fluid then feeds the first series of channels 8, while a fluid to be cooled is moreover admitted into the second series of channels 10 .
Cette calotte 32, dans laquelle sont ménagées des perforations 34, est entourée par une bordure 36 péπphé- πque plane permettant la fixation du distributeur 30 contre 1 ' épaulement 16.FIG. 3 represents a variant of the invention, in which the distributor 30 is formed of a plate 31 which comprises a domed central part 32, forming a spherical cap extending in the direction of the outlet 15 of the pipe 14. This cap 32, in which perforations 34 are provided, is surrounded by a plane peripheral edge 36 allowing the dispenser 30 to be fixed against the shoulder 16.
The following figures illustrate alternative embodiments of the invention, in which the distributor is provided with means making it possible to increase the flow speed of the two-phase refrigerant fluid.
La calotte 42 est par ailleurs entourée d'une bordure 46, analogue à celle 26.In FIG. 4, the distributor 40 is formed of a plate 41 which has a central cap 42, of the same shape as the cap 32. This cap 42 is provided with perforations 44 extending only at its periphery, so as to form a full central zone 45. The cap 42 is also surrounded by an edge 46, similar to that 26.
Le distributeur 50 est pourvu d'une bordure périphérique 56 de fixation contre l' épaulement 16.In FIG. 5, the cap 52 of the plate 51 of the distributor 50 is pierced, over its entire surface, with perforations 54. There is also provided a pellet 55, which is attached to the inside of the cap 52 following a cord of the latter. The distributor 50 is provided with a peripheral edge 56 for fixing against the shoulder 16.
Le corps 65 est fixé à la calotte 62 par tou; moyen approprié, en particulier par vissage .The dispenser 60 shown in Figures 6 and 7 comprises a plate 61, the central cap 62 is provided with perforations 64 over its entire surface. This distributor 60 is equipped with a conical body 65 whose base 65 'is fixed inside the cap 62, and whose tip 65''is directed opposite the outlet 15. The body 65 is fixed to the cap 62 per tou; suitable means, in particular by screwing.
The conical body 65 is provided, on its outer surface, with longitudinal grooves, not shown, extending parallel to the axis of this body 65, that is to say parallel to the direction of flow of the two-phase fluid in the pipe 14. These grooves allow the supply of the area behind the base of the cone, between the latter and the cap 62. This distributor 60 is provided with a peripheral edge 66 for fixing.
Cette dernière est entourée par une bordure périphérique 76 de fixation.FIG. 8 illustrates a dispenser 70 comprising a plate 71, the domed cap 72 of which is provided with perforations 74. A ball 75, with a radius of curvature less than that of the cap 72, is fixed inside the cap 72. This the latter is surrounded by a peripheral fixing edge 76.
In FIG. 9, the distributor 80 comprises a plate 81, the domed cap 82 of which is provided with perforations 84. This distributor 80 is provided with an insert 85, or added member, formed of a cylindrical part 85 'adjacent to the cap , and a conical end 85 "extending upstream, with reference to the flow of the fluid. There is also provided a peripheral edge 86 for fixing.
The invention is not limited to the examples described and shown. In fact, provision may in particular be made for providing a flat plate, similar to that 21, with a cone 65, a ball 75 or an insert 85 as described in FIGS. 6 to 9.
The invention makes it possible to achieve the objectives mentioned above. Indeed, the Applicant has found that the stagnation, or even the decrease in performance of a plate heat exchanger, occurring beyond a threshold value of plates, was mainly due to the separation between the phases of the refrigerant, intervening in the entry collection area of the exchanger.
Thus, when the exchanger has a number of plates less than or equal to this critical value, the two-phase fluid remains well mixed. On the other hand, when this exchanger is provided with a greater number of plates, there occurs a phase separation of the refrigerant, so that the channels opposite the inlet of the latter are poorly supplied, which induces a corresponding decrease in the efficiency of the exchanger .
According to the invention, the presence of the perforations with which the dispenser is provided generates turbulences of the fluid and therefore ensures an effective mixing of the two phases which constitute it. Under these conditions, an efficient homogenization of this two-phase fluid is obtained along the collection zone, even in the case of an exchanger provided with a high number of plates. Furthermore, the distributor according to the invention ensures a good distribution of the two-phase fluid in these different channels, in the sense that each channel is not only supplied by a homogeneous mixture but that, moreover, the flow rates of two-phase fluids supplying the various channels are substantially identical.
In addition, this dispenser is particularly convenient to use, insofar as it can be attached at the same time as the fluid supply connection. In addition, this distributor is robust and induces little pressure drop. Finally, it generates little disturbance of the flow, when the cycles of the exchanger are reversed.
Equipping the dispenser with a domed cap is advantageous. Indeed, this measure gives a particularly advantageous homogenization of the two-phase fluid, before its admission into the inlet collection zone. Providing means for increasing the speed of flow of the fluid is particularly advantageous. Indeed, these means generate turbulence which ensures an effective mixing of the two phases of the refrigerant. In particular, the presence of a conical body, or of a ball promotes the bursting of the refrigerant, and its division in the direction of the perforations of the plate.
