Abstract

The invention relates to a component comprising a support and probe molecule fields that are arranged thereon in a defined configuration. Each probe molecule field carries probe molecules of at least one probe molecule species and an association exists between the geometric positions of the probe molecule fields within the component and the species of the probe molecule fields. The invention is characterized in that each probe molecule field carries probe molecules of a respectively different, selected species group, whereby group elements of each species group bind mutually to a defined target molecule by creating co-operative effects.
