El mecanismo opera en función a la constatación, por medio de la unidad sensitiva, del inicio de la tumefacción a consecuencia de una extravasación, y la suspensión automática del aporte en la unidad oclusiva, gracias ai impulso eléctrico transmitido desde la primera nasta ésta La investigación previa no determinó la existencia de ningún dispositivo similar al propuesto en la presente invenciónThis device has two differentiated units that allow the first to detect any extravasation of fluid during an intravenous infusion, which is why it will be called a sensory unit and, the second, called an occlusive unit, the suspension of the fluid supply to be perfused; both units are connected by an electrical circuit that includes the precise conductor and a sufficient power supply. The mechanism operates in function of the verification, by means of the sensitive unit, of the beginning of the swelling as a result of an extravasation, and the automatic suspension of the contribution in the occlusive unit, thanks to the electrical impulse transmitted from the first stage of the investigation. previous did not determine the existence of any device similar to the one proposed in the present invention
El dispositivo de la presente invención consta, como se ha dicho, de dos unidades diferenciadas conectadas entre sí por un circuito eléctπco una dispuesta de modo que sea capaz de detectar el inicio de la ocasional extravasación, o unidad sensitiva, situada en las proximidades del lugar de venopuncióπ, en contacto con la piel del paciente y sujeta a ésta en una posición fija por cualquier medio idóneo, y otra, que llamamos unidad oclusiva, situada en contacto con el conducto flexible a través del cual seThe device of the present invention consists, as has been said, of two differentiated units connected to each other by an electrical circuit one arranged so as to be able to detect the onset of the occasional extravasation, or sensory unit, located in the vicinity of the site. venopuncióπ, in contact with the patient's skin and attached to it in a fixed position by any suitable means, and another, which we call an occlusive unit, located in contact with the flexible conduit through which
HOJA DE SUSTITUCIÓN REGLA 26 realiza la perfusión y cuya función es la de ocluirlo en el momento indicado.SUBSTITUTE SHEET RULE 26 Performs the infusion and whose function is to occlude it at the indicated time.
La unidad sensitiva incorpora a su vez, aparte de los elementos de sujeción a la piel del paciente antes citados y formando un sólo cuerpo con éstos, una almohadilla de material elástico en cuyo interior se ha practicado una oquedad a modo de cámara sobre cuyas caras inferior y superior se disponen sendas láminas de material conductor de corriente eléctrica debidamente aisladas y separadas una de otra; ambas están dotadas de los medios de conexión necesarios para integrarse como contactos de un interruptor en el circuito eléctrico arriba mencionadoThe sensory unit incorporates, in addition to the elements attached to the skin of the patient mentioned above and forming a single body with them, a pad of elastic material in which a cavity has been made as a camera on whose lower faces and superior, two sheets of electrically conductive material are properly insulated and separated from each other; both are equipped with the necessary connection means to be integrated as contacts of a switch in the electrical circuit mentioned above
Sobre la parte superior de la citada almohadilla, y externamente, se dispone una carcasa rígida a fin de proteger la unidad de manipulaciones inconvenientes. On the upper part of said pad, and externally, a rigid housing is arranged in order to protect the unit from inconvenient manipulations.
On the other hand, the occlusive unit incorporates a mechanism, whether electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or of any kind suitable for its purpose, capable of occluding, by strangulation thereof, the flexible conduit through which the perfusion to be controlled is produced.
El alcance de la presente invención se comprenderá mejor con la descripción siguiente de un ejemplo de práctico de realización la cual se desarrolla a partir de los dibujos incluidos en el plano anexo, en los que:The scope of the present invention will be better understood with the following description of an exemplary embodiment which is developed from the drawings included in the attached drawing, in which:

Supongamos asi un paciente al cual se le reaiiza una punción intravenosa con un catéter (7), comunicado mediante un conducto flexible (5) a una fuente de suministro (6), para la realización de una perfusión endovenosa de suero fisiológico, como se comprueba en las figuras adjuntas, al sujeto se le aplica en un lugar próximo a la venopuncióπ y en contacto directo con la piel, mediante una tira adhesiva (11), la unidad sensitiva (1 ) que está conectada, y formando un circuito eléctrico con la unidad oclusiva (4) y la fuente de alimentación (3) Por otra parte, el conducto flexible (5) se aloja de manera apropiada en el iugar correspondiente de la unidad oclusiva para su eventual estrangulaciónLet us suppose a patient who undergoes an intravenous puncture with a catheter (7), communicated through a flexible conduit (5) to a source of supply (6), to perform an intravenous infusion of physiological serum, as verified in the attached figures, to the subject It is applied in a place close to the venipuncture and in direct contact with the skin, by means of an adhesive strip (11), the sensitive unit (1) that is connected, and forming an electrical circuit with the occlusive unit (4) and the power supply (3) On the other hand, the flexible conduit (5) is properly housed in the corresponding place of the occlusive unit for eventual throttling.
Como puede verse en la figura 2, una vez cumplimentado lo anterior e iniciado el proceso citado, el catéter que atraviesa la pared de la vena afectada deja circular a su través el flujo seroso hacia el interior de ésta sin obstrucción alguna, permaneciendo sin cambios el tejido orgánico circundante, la almohadilla de material elástico (13) en su posición original y los contactos interruptores (10) en posición abierto, por lo tanto, también lo está el circuito eléctrico (2) y en consecuencia la unidad oclusiva (4) permanece inactiva, permitiendo el desarrollo del proceso perfusivo con normalidadAs can be seen in figure 2, once the aforementioned has been completed and the aforementioned process has begun, the catheter that crosses the wall of the affected vein allows the serous flow to flow through it without any obstruction, remaining unchanged surrounding organic tissue, the pad of elastic material (13) in its original position and the switch contacts (10) in the open position, therefore, so is the electrical circuit (2) and consequently the occlusive unit (4) remains inactive, allowing the development of the perfusion process normally
In the case, reflected in Figure 3, that the catheter (7) for any reason loses the path to which the puncture has been performed, the device is activated, since the extravascuiar discharge of the fluid provided through it carries the beginning of the swelling of the affected tissue (14 '), which implies swelling of said area. Such swelling compresses the elastic pad (14) against the protective housing (15), which is in a fixed position thanks to the strip of clamping (11), crushing it and forcing the switch contacts (10) to move towards a contact position in which the electrical circuit (2) closes and, consequently, the occlusive unit (4) is activated in it, a Once the circuit has been closed as stated, the passage of the electric current through the inductor determines the displacement of the armature into the first, being this movement the one that allows the occlusion of the flexible conduit (5) by throttling it between the external wall of said unit (4) and the stirrup (22). The performance of the previous operation involves the immediate arrest of the fluid supply to the area affected by the incipient swelling, thus avoiding the pernicious and annoying consequences arising from the increase in extravasation due to a longer fluid aorta.
