Abstract

The present invention relates to a multifunction telephone using the internet and public telephone network presumed as the next communication system corresponding to the internet era which is capable of improving speech quality and connection success rate, providing multiple functions and various contents by using the internet and public telephone network at the same time by connecting to a PC (Personal Computer).

Description

MULTI-FUNCTION TELEPHONE USED BY INTERNET AND PSTN
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a multifunction telephone, in particular to the multifunction telephone using the internet and public switching telephone network presumed as the next communication system corresponding to the internet era which is capable of improving a speech quality and a connection success rate, providing multiple functions and various contents by using the internet and public telephone switching network at the same time by being connected to a PC (Personal Computer).
BACKGROUND ART
Convenience of living is continually pursued according to differentiation and diversity of the modern society, and development of a technology makes possible the need. In particular, a telephone taking charge of one part of a communication field initially starts as a manual system, and is a major communication mean of all offices and homes in the present time by being developed by a computer technology and an information communication technology.
FIG.1 illustrates the conventional telephone system using a PC.
As depicted in FIG.1 , in the conventional telephone system, a communication modem 12 for connecting with the internet 20, and a sound card 11 for controlling a voice input/output through the communication modem 12 are comprised in each PC (personal computer) 10A, 10B. Each driver for recognizing the communication modem 12 and sound card 11 is installed on a program of the each PC 10A, 10B.
In the conventional telephone system using the PC, a voice call (telephone call) is performed by connecting the PC 10A to the internet 20 through the communication modem 12, and transmitting voice data of the other PC 10B connected to the internet 20 with internet contents.
In addition, in the communication between the PC 10A and an ordinary telephone 50, the telephone call is performed by connecting the internet telephone call service server 30 connected to the internet 20 to a PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network), and transmitting the voice data each other. In the communication, a built-in/outer packaging modem and a LAN card are used, and generally they are connected to serial communication ports of the PC. However, the above-described conventional telephone system has below problems.
The telephone call is performed through the internet, and the voice signal has to be transmitted with the internet contents on the internet. Accordingly, the speech quality lowers due to a traffic of the internet data. In addition, when the telephone call is performed by using the modem, the conventional modem has to be installed inside of the PC (ISA slot or PCI slot) after taking off a case of the PC, and the telephone system has to be controlled only before and after the calling.
In addition, in the conventional telephone communication system using the PC, a driver for an equipment recognition has to be installed on the PC Accordingly, when an operating system (hereinafter referred to an OS) is upgraded or an error occurs, the pertinent driver has to be reinstalled
