Abstract

The preferred embodiment addresses the problem of using 3D stereoscopic imaging as an enabling technology for e-commerce both off and on the Internet, education, training, entertainment and marketing in two ways. First it provides the opportunity for mass distribution of shutter glasses to millions of people through a unique mechanical design. Second it provides unique ergonomic and functional features that make configuring and using stereoscopic 3D practical and simple for the vast majority of people. An embodiment of the invention includes a facility for providing multi-viewer viewing of 3D stereoscopic images from a single display.
