Description

CANULE DE DECHARGE MEDICO-CHIRURGICALE MEDICO-SURGICAL DISCHARGE CANNULA
DESCRIPTIONDESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a medico-surgical discharge cannula of the type comprising, in its axial part, a channel provided, at its distal end, with a drainage opening; at the periphery of its distal part, a plurality of drainage orifices opening into said channel; at its proximal end, a connector capable of connecting the cannula to a suction tube; said cannula being associated with a stylet-mandrel capable of being inserted therein to give it the rigidity necessary for its adequate positioning in the area to be drained.
The known cannulas of the genus in question all have the major drawback associated with the bonding of the vascular wall against the drainage orifices. This results in an irregularity in the aspiration of blood contained in the cavities concerned considerably hampering the work of the surgeon.
C'est dans le but de remédier à cet inconvénient majeur, que le déposant a conçu une canule de décharge qui se caractérise essentiellement en ce que les orifices de drainage périphériques débouchent, à l'extérieur de la canule, dans le fond de canelures réalisées à la périphérie de la partie distale de ladite canule. Selon diverses particularités de l'invention : - les canelures sont en forme de spirale;It is with the aim of remedying this major drawback that the depositor has designed a discharge cannula which is essentially characterized in that the peripheral drainage orifices open, outside the cannula, into the bottom of grooves made at the periphery of the distal part of said cannula. According to various features of the invention: - the grooves are in the form of a spiral;
- l'extrémité distale du canal de drainage est conique et à section décroissante de l'intérieur vers l'extérieur.- the distal end of the drainage channel is conical and tapering from inside to outside.
Sur ces dessins :The characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear more clearly on reading the following detailed description of at least one preferred embodiment of the latter given by way of non-limiting example and shown in the accompanying drawings. In these drawings:
- la figure 1 est une vue de dessus de la canule selon l'invention;- Figure 1 is a top view of the cannula according to the invention;
- la figure 2 est une vue de profil de ladite canule; - la figure 3 est une vue, en coupe longitudinale, de la partie distale de la canule;- Figure 2 is a side view of said cannula; - Figure 3 is a view, in longitudinal section, of the distal part of the cannula;
La canule représentée aux figures comporte essentiellement :- Figure 4 is a partial sectional view of a drain for the drainage of intracavitary effused blood. The cannula shown in the figures essentially comprises:
- dans sa partie axiale, un canal (2) pourvu, à son extrémité distale, d'une ouverture de drainage (3);- in its axial part, a channel (2) provided, at its distal end, with a drainage opening (3);
- à la périphérie de sa partie distale, une pluralité d'orifices de drainage (4) débouchant dans ledit canal (2);- at the periphery of its distal part, a plurality of drainage orifices (4) opening into said channel (2);
- à son extrémité proximale, un connecteur (5) apte à relier la canule (1) à un tube d'aspiration.- at its proximal end, a connector (5) capable of connecting the cannula (1) to a suction tube.
The cannula is associated with a stylet stylet capable of being inserted therein to give it the rigidity necessary for its adequate positioning in the heart.
The drainage orifices (4) open, outside the cannula, into the bottom of grooves (6) produced at the periphery of the distal part of the cannula (1). This particular feature aims to avoid sticking of the vascular wall during aspiration.
The grooves (6) can be made in the form of a spiral. The angle formed by the grooves (6) and the longitudinal generatrices of the cannula (1) is advantageously between 20 ° and 40 ° including 30 °. This particular feature aims to promote the evacuation of blood flow.
The material used to make the distal part of the cannula (1) is shape memory such that, when the stylet-mandrel is introduced into the cannula (1), the grooves (6) are parallel to the longitudinal generatrices of said cannula and, when said stylet-mandrel is removed therefrom, the grooves regain their spiral shape.
This particular feature allows a flexible and non-traumatic introduction of the cannula into the heart or the vessels. The distal end (3) of the channel (2) is conical and of decreasing section from the inside to the outside.
La canule peut comporter :This special feature allows better suction because it eliminates competition between blood flows. The outer distal end (7) of the cannula is bevelled or rounded in order to allow better introduction thereof and a reduction traumatic areas crossed. The cannula can include:
A first reference ring (8) indicating the position of the end of the cannula in the left atrium of the heart for example; - A second reference ring (9) indicating the position of said end in the left ventricle of the heart for example.
Dans la réalisation préférée de l'invention :The cannula can be made of silicone or polyvinyl chloride depending on the flexibility and biocompatibility sought but also depending on the operating technique chosen by the surgeon. In the preferred embodiment of the invention:
- la canule a une longueur de 300 mm, la première bague est située à 70 mm de l'extrémité distale et la deuxième à 50 mm de la première dans le sens proximal;- the cannula is 300 mm long, the first ring is located 70 mm from the distal end and the second 50 mm from the first in the proximal direction;
- la canule a un diamètre extérieur de 7 mm et le canal un diamètre de 4 mm, l'ouverture de drainage correspondante ayant un diamètre de 3 mm;- The cannula has an outside diameter of 7 mm and the canal a diameter of 4 mm, the corresponding drainage opening having a diameter of 3 mm;
- les canelures, fraction cylindriques, ont un diamètre de 2 mm et les orifices correspondants ont un diamètre de 1 mm;- the grooves, cylindrical fraction, have a diameter of 2 mm and the corresponding orifices have a diameter of 1 mm;
- les canelures sont au nombre de 3;- there are 3 grooves;
FIG. 4 represents more particularly a drain (10) for the drainage of intracavitary effused blood (in abdominal or muscular application) which also comprises grooves (6) and drainage orifices (4). It further comprises an enlarged area (11) in the shape of a warhead, and a removable holding device (12) on the body wall (13) passed through.
