Abstract

Beim Stand der Technik werden redundante, ATM-Zellen aufweisende Datenströme wieder zusammengeführt, indem versucht wird, Synchronität herzustellen. Dies dauert aber in der Regel sehr lange. Die Erfindung schafft hier Abhilfe, indem beide Datenströme in Pufferspeicher eingeschrieben werden, und die gespeicherten ATM-Zellen auf Gleichheit hin überprüft werden. Sendefolgenummern brauchen somit nicht vorgesehen werden.
