Abstract

The invention relates to a self-tuning control device (RE) for controlled systems (RST) comprising first and second controlled system components (RS1, RS2) to influence an output variable (T) which is to be controlled in an opposite direction of control action. After determination of the first control parameter (P1) which is tuned to the first controlled system component (RS1) and after activation of the controller (R) of the control device (RE), the second control parameter (P2) tuned to the second controlled system component (RS2) is determined by controlling the controlled system (RST) through the controller (R). The invention can, for instance, be used in self-tuning control devices for temperature controlled systems in plastic injection machines.

Description

Beschreibung description
Selbsteinstellende RegeleinrichtungSelf-adjusting control device
Control systems can be constructed in such a way that control system components, in particular actuators, act in the opposite direction on an output variable of the control system. For example, while a first actuator serves to increase the value of an output variable of the controlled system, a second actuator serves to reduce it. The controlled system components often have different system behavior. A control device for controlling such a controlled system must therefore adapt the control characteristic of the controlled system component currently being controlled in the control process. This can be done, for example, using different controller parameter sets or using differently parameterized sub-controllers.
In the case of a self-adjusting control device, when it is started up, it first determines the controller parameters relating to the corresponding controlled system. In the case of controlled systems, the properties of which are often subject to change, it may also be necessary to determine the controller parameters by the self-adjusting control device every time the system is started up.
Die dadurch benötigte hohe Regelgüte der Regeleinrichtung erfordert deshalb in der Kunststoffspritzmaschine sowohl eine Heiz- als auch eine Kühleinrichtung.FIG. 4 shows an example of the temperature profile T of the processing temperature of a known, self-adjusting control device for plastic injection molding machines when they are started up. The temperature curve T is shown over time t. The controlled system of the known, self-adjusting control device is the plastic injection molding machine, which is to be brought from a generally cold starting state to processing temperature TS at time TO. This should show only slight deviations D, since the processing temperature TS is generally just below due to the required viscosity of the plastic whose ignition temperature is. The high control quality of the control device required as a result therefore requires both a heating and a cooling device in the plastic injection molding machine.
The controlled system thus has different characteristics for the heating and cooling operating modes, which are taken into account by the known, self-adjusting control device. The known, self-adjusting control device therefore identifies the controlled system when the plastic injection machine is started up. Since the plastic injection molding machine behaves differently when it is heated up and when it cools down, two identification processes are carried out by the known, self-adjusting control device during commissioning.
In FIG. 4, for example, the heating phase D1 and D2 begins at time TO, in which the known, self-adjusting control device identifies the control behavior of the plastic injection molding machine during heating. This identification process is completed at time T1. The controller of the known, self-adjusting control device then continues the heating phase during the period D2 until the processing temperature TS is approximately reached. This is achieved in FIG. 4 by way of example at time T2, the temperature profile in the area z1 running flat.
In the known, self-adjusting control device, the controller is switched off again after the processing temperature TS has been reached and a cooling phase D3 is initiated by means of the cooling device of the plastic injection molding machine. This serves to identify the control behavior of the plastic injection molding machine during cooling. As soon as the cooling behavior is identified and the self-adjustment process of the known control device is completed, the controller is reactivated. In the example in FIG. 4, this is time T3. However, another, additional The heating phase D4 is required in order to raise the temperature of the plastic injection machine, which has dropped in the cooling phase D3, back to the processing temperature TS. From time T4, the plastic injection machine is finally ready for use in plastics processing.
It is disadvantageous that the known, self-adjusting control device for identifying the control behavior of the plastic injection molding machine during cooling has to cool it down from the processing temperature TS that has already been reached and then heat it up again. This causes a disadvantageous, additional extension of the time from which plastic processing can begin.
The object of the invention is to provide a self-adjusting control device for the output variable of a controlled system, which has an advantageous self-adjustment.
The object is achieved with the self-adjusting control device specified in claim 1, the use of the self-adjusting control device specified in claim 2 and the method specified in claim 4.
The advantage of the self-adjusting control device according to the invention is that the controlled system can be controlled as soon as the identification of the first controlled system component has been completed. According to the invention, the output variable of the controlled system remains within a definable tolerance range during the identification of the second controlled system component.
It is furthermore advantageous that when the self-adjusting control device is used with a temperature control system, such as a plastic injection molding machine, it is ready for operation after it has heated up to the operating temperature, ie during the identification of the cooling control behavior. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the corresponding subclaims.
Dabei zeigt:The invention is further explained on the basis of the exemplary embodiments shown in the figures briefly listed below. It shows:

The reference numerals of FIG. 1 are described below together with those of FIGS. 2 and 3. In Figure 1 is a schematic structure of a control device RE and a controlled system RST with a first and second controlled system component RS1 and RS2 is shown as an example. The output variable T of the controlled system RST can be influenced in the opposite direction of action by the first and second controlled system components RS1 and RS2. The control device RE also has a controller R, the controller characteristics of which can be matched to the first and second control path components RS1 and RS2 by means of first and second controller parameters P1 and P2. Furthermore, the controlled system RST can have further controlled system components, such as a third controlled system component RS3. This is shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, for example downstream of the first and second controlled system components RS1 and RS2, and is used in particular to describe the complete transmission behavior of the controlled system RST.
In order to ensure that the controller characteristic of controller R can be absorbed both on the first and on the second controlled system component RS1 or RS2, the controller R can also have two controller components R1 and R2, for example. In particular, a first controller component Rl is used to control the first controlled system component RS1 and a second controller component R2 is used to control the second controlled system component RS2. The output variable of the controller R, ie the manipulated variable SG, is then formed by the respective output signals SGI and SG2 of the first and second controller components R1 and R2. For example, a positive value range of the manipulated variable SG is formed by the first controller component R1 and a negative value range by the second controller component R2. The first and second controller parameters P1 and P2 are assigned in accordance with the first and second controller components R1 and R2 to determine their respective controller characteristics. The first and second controller components R1 and R2 can have the same or a different controller structure. Furthermore, the controller R does not necessarily have to be composed of two partial controllers his. For example, the controller characteristic of the controller R for different value ranges of the manipulated variable SG can also be brought about by switching between the first and second controller parameters P1 and P2.
The manipulated variable SG of the controller R is fed to the controlled system RST in the example in FIGS. 1 to 3, in particular via a manipulated variable switching element S. This advantageously brings about an assignment of the manipulated variable SG as a function of its significance to the first or to the second controlled system component RS1 or RS2. Thus, the manipulated variable SG is fed exclusively to the first controlled system component RS1, for example, with a positive value, in particular via a first filter SI of the manipulated variable switching element S. If the manipulated variable SG has a negative value, it is fed exclusively to the second controlled system component RS2, in particular via a second filter S2 of the manipulated variable switching element S. For this purpose, the first and second filters SI and S2, for example, each have a corresponding, ramp-like transmission behavior. The manipulated variable switching element S is, for example, in the form of an electrical circuit or a software program.
In einem in der Figur 1 dargestellten ersten Einstellschritt des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens zur Selbsteinstellung derIn a first adjustment step of the method according to the invention for self-adjustment of the
Regulating device RE determines the first controller parameters Pl coordinated therewith by predetermined control of the first controlled system component RS1. In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the self-adjusting control device RE in particular has a control setting device EV for executing the method according to the invention. In order to carry out the first setting step, this controls the controlled system component RS1 in a predetermined manner with a first control signal ST1. The first control signal ST1 is shown in FIG. 1 by means of a solid arrow. The first control signal ST1 is present, for example, in the form of a step function which is based on the first control Process component RS1 of the controlled system RST is activated. In particular by evaluating at least the output variable T of the controlled system RST, the first control parameters Pl are determined by the control setting device EV. The supply of the output variable T and possibly further measurement values serving for evaluation to the control setting device EV are shown in FIG. 1 by the arrow F1. As a rule, although not absolutely necessary, the manipulated variable SG of the controller is not supplied to the controlled system RST during the determination of the first controller parameters Pl. This interruption is shown schematically in FIG. 1 by way of the switching arrow F2 and point F22.
The second setting step of the inventive method for self-setting a control device RE is shown symbolized in FIG. In this second setting step, the controller R is activated by means of the first controller parameters P1 to control the first controlled system component RS1. In the embodiment in which the control setting device EV is used to carry out the method according to the invention, this activates the controller R by means of the first controller parameters Pl and guides its output variable, i.e. the manipulated variable SG, in particular via the manipulated variable switching element S to the controlled system RST. Their output variable T, the so-called control variable, is fed back in particular to the controller R to form a control loop. In particular, the difference between a setpoint TS of the controlled variable and the output variable T is formed and these are fed to the controller R as an error value TF. The activation of the controller R by the control setting device EV in the second setting step is shown schematically in FIG. 2 by way of example by the solid arrow designated Pl, the switching arrow F2 and the point F21.
In the third setting step the second controller parameters P2 matched thereto are determined by a predetermined control of the second controlled system component RS2. According to the invention, the controller R is additionally activated by means of the first controller parameters P1. This advantageously causes the regulation of the controlled system RST to continue even during the determination of the second controller parameters P2. In an advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention, the third setting step is only initiated when the control of the controlled system RST by the controller R has led to an approximately stable state of the output variable T.
In the embodiment of the invention in which the control setting device EV is used to carry out the method according to the invention, the second setting parameters P2 are determined by the control setting device EV in the third setting step. This is done by a predetermined control of the second controlled system component R2 with a second control signal ST2. This is exemplified in FIG. 2 by the solid arrow labeled ST2. To determine the second controller parameters P2, the control setting device EV in particular evaluates at least the output variable T of the controlled system RST, as symbolized by the arrow F1 as an example. When the third setting step has been carried out, the self-setting of the controller R is completed and the controller R can be operated by means of the first and the second controller parameters P1 and P2. The controller R is then completely matched to the first and second controlled system components RS1 and RS2 of the controlled system RST. This is shown in FIG. 3 by the solid arrows denoted by the reference symbols P1 and P2, and by the switching arrow F2 and the point F21.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the controlled system RST is present, for example, as a temperature controlled system. tur, as a first control system component RS1 a heating device and as a second control system component RS2 a cooling device. The controlled system RST can in particular also be in the form of a different controlled system, the output variable T of which can be influenced in the opposite direction by the first and second controlled system components RS1 and RS2. Such a controlled system can also be a speed or pressure controlled system, for example.
When using the first-setting control device RE for a temperature control system as the control system RST, it can advantageously be used in a further embodiment of the invention for temperature control systems of plastic injection molding machines.
FIG. 5 shows, by way of example, the temperature profile T of the processing temperature in the case of a plastic injection machine, the control device of which is self-adjusting by means of the inventive commissioning method. 5 is described in particular by means of the reference numerals described in FIGS. 1 to 3. To start up the plastic injection molding machine, a heating phase takes place at the time TO ', which, according to the invention, serves as the first setting step D1' for determining the first controller parameters Pl. At the time T1 ', the controller R is activated in the second setting step D2' by means of the first controller parameters P1 to control the first controlled system component RS1 in the form of the heating device. The temperature control path RST is advantageously controlled by the controller R until the temperature profile T is approximately stable. In FIG. 5, the target temperature TS is approximately reached in the area z1 'at time T2', for example. In the third setting step D3 ', the second controller parameters P2 are determined by a predetermined control of the second controlled system component RS2 in the form of the cooling device. The fact that according to the invention during the determination According to the second controller parameter P2, the controller R is simultaneously activated by means of the first controller parameters P1 to control the heating device, the temperature profile T remains within a tolerance range D, as shown in FIG. 5 in the areas z2 'and z3' by way of example. This advantageously enables the plastic injection molding machine to be operated from time T2 ', after the second setting step D2' has been completed, and thus advantageously before the third setting step D3 'has been carried out to determine the second controller parameters P2.
