Abstract

A method for automatically planning the distribution of frequencies to broadcast control channels in a cellular radio communications system. First, quality parameters on all available frequencies are estimated. Then, the system analyzes the measured quality parameters along with predetermined criteria information. A frequency is then assigned to each broadcast channel based on the analysis.
