Abstract

A snap-on hinged cover for equipment ranges has the advantage of being quickly and easily snapped onto the equipment only after complete installation of the equipment so that the required freedom for mounting the equipment is ensured and access to the connecting screws is not prematurely blocked. The snapping point of the hinged cover on the equipment is clearly determined by contours on the inner side of the cover which are laid on complementary bearing faces on the base body of the equipment. Movable elastic tongues formed on the hinged cover and provided with bearing pins allow the latter to be quickly and easily snapped into recesses on the housing bearing face.

Description

"Aufrastbarer Klappdeckel" "Snap-on hinged lid"
BESCHREIBUNGDESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a snap-on hinged cover for installation devices according to the preamble of claim 1.
Hinged covers are used in a wide variety of different installation device ranges. Thus, device ranges with closable hinged covers are used, for example, for installations in damp rooms, for installations whose device ranges are to be protected against dust or shock or for which hinged covers are used to prevent access by unauthorized persons, in particular here by access Children's hands thought to serve. These installation device ranges provide not only single, but also double and multiple combinations of installation devices with closable hinged covers.
Installation devices with hinged lids are usually installed in such a way that the insert, i.e. the upper part of the housing, is wired and then inserted in wired form into the lower part of the housing and screwed to it. Since the hinged covers are usually preassembled on the upper parts of the device to be wired, it is necessary to keep the respective hinged covers open when screwing the wired upper part of the device onto the lower part of the device in order to make the screws in the holes in the upper part of the device freely accessible for connection to the lower part of the device and to ensure freedom of assembly r ensure. Since it is a prerequisite of the Technical Surveillance Association that the hinged covers of selected device ranges must be so loaded that they close automatically, it is quite expensive for the fitter to simultaneously produce the screw connection of the wired upper part of the device and to keep the hinged cover open. It is also cumbersome and time-consuming, since installation devices do not have to be attached exclusively to easily accessible and assembly-friendly locations.
Based on this prior art, it is the object of the present invention to provide hinged covers for installation device ranges which ensure unhindered freedom of assembly when connecting the wired upper housing part to the lower housing part, the connecting screws of which are freely accessible and which nevertheless meet the requirements, which are placed on installation devices closed by hinged covers are sufficient.
This object is achieved by a snap-on hinged lid according to the teaching of claim 1. Further embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
The snap-on hinged lid according to the present invention has resilient tongues formed on the hinged lid, which in turn carry bearing pins which can be snapped into bores in the device housing, that is to say on the upper housing part.
In the simplest case, the snap-on hinged lid has a continuous contour in the form of a transverse rib on its inside, parallel to the hinged axis defined by the bearing pins, slightly spaced from the lid edge.
This contour of the hinged lid is in the simplest case a transverse rib of the upper housing portion which acts as a counter bearing 1 herein, can be applied and fixed to the locking point of the Klapp¬ lid on the housing. To lock the hinged cover, the contour, transverse rib of the cover is placed on a counter bearing on the housing, a transverse rib of the housing, so that the hinged cover is fixed exactly on the latching point and a laborious search for the latching point is avoided. The hinged lid fixed in this way can now easily be snapped into place. All that is necessary is a slight pressure on the corners of the cover carrying the journal to snap the journal into the holes provided in the upper part of the housing. A prerequisite for the cover to snap in easily is the movable bearing pins, in particular molded onto spring-loaded tongues. When the hinged lid is pressed, these incline slightly towards the inside of the lid, thereby releasing the required snap-in travel. The resilient tongues are formed essentially at right angles to the surface of the hinged cover, laterally on the hinged cover, and extend essentially beyond the outer structure of the hinged cover.
The resilient tongues can be designed differently, in particular they extend in the manner of a rectangle with rounded corners, on the side of the hinged cover, in the direction of the device housing. To support the resilient flexibility, the resilient tongues are pinched off according to a preferred embodiment by recesses of different depths from the angled outer contours surrounding the hinged cover.
The snap-on hinged lid has contours in the form of pegs, lugs, ribs on the inside of the lid, which extend in the direction of the device housing with different dimensions, whereby they come into contact with at least one counter bearing that is molded onto the device housing. The contours extending from the inside of the cover are arranged essentially parallel to the folding axis defined by the bearing pins of the folding cover. The contours can be made in one piece or spaced apart from one another and can be arranged on the inside of the cover. It is essential, however, that at least one contour on the inside of the cover is arranged in such a way that it comes into contact with at least one counter bearing on the device housing in order to determine a stable engagement point of the hinged cover. finish. On the device housing itself, counter bearings are arranged in one piece, projecting vertically from the device housing, which, in conjunction with the contours of the cover, define the position of the hinged lid so precisely that the bearing pins snap into the bore provided for this purpose by pressing on the hinged lid Security is effected.
In addition to the ribs, lugs or pins protruding vertically from the device housing, the counter bearings on the device housing can also be formed by recesses formed in the device housing.
A prerequisite for a secure latching of the hinged lid with counter bearings in the form of recesses is of course that the associated lid contour protrudes correspondingly further from the inside of the lid towards the device housing, so that an engagement of the lid contour in the device housing exception is ensured and thus an exact position definition of the lid to be locked is ensured.
As a counter bearing of the device housing, the contour of the inside of the cover can also strike a given shaped element of the device housing in a simplest embodiment. It would be possible, and particularly advantageous, to strike the inner contour of the cover against the molded parts of the plug insertion opening that receive the protective contact tongues.
The snap-on hinged cover is also guided in the device housing by the resilient tongues which are arranged on both sides of the hinged cover and which support the bearing pins. The hinged cover is guided, in particular, by cover receiving bearings which emerge from the housing and at least partially project beyond the housing surface. In these cover receiving bearings there are recesses for receiving the bearing pins formed on the resilient tongues.
Eine seitliche Führung des Klappdeckels zur weiteren Fixierung des Einrastpunktes kann ebenfalls durch winklig an die parallel zur Klappachse verlaufenden Konturen angeordneteThe hinged cover is now snapped on after the finished assembly of the housing, that is to say after the wired upper housing part has been screwed onto the lower housing part. The snap-on cover offers the advantage that the housing Upper parts do not have to be pre-assembled. In other words. Device housing and hinged cover are delivered separately from each other. After the complete assembly, which ensures the great advantage of the free accessibility of the connecting elements, in particular thus the free accessibility to the screws, the hinged cover is snapped on. For this purpose, a spring element is introduced into the molded receptacle elements formed on the inside of the lid, which lie on the folding axis defined by the bearing pins. The hinged cover is then struck with one of its contours against a counter bearing formed on the housing surface, and thus the snap-in point of the hinged cover, in particular the bearing pin, is fixed to the recesses in the housing bearings. Lateral guidance of the hinged cover is carried out in particular by resilient tongues which are formed on the cover and come into contact with the receiving bearings for the bearing journals which are integrally formed on the housing surface. Lateral guidance of the hinged cover for further fixing of the snap-in point can also be arranged at an angle to the contours running parallel to the hinged axis
Guide elements that come into engagement with molded elements of the device housing are fixed. It is also possible for the cover to be guided laterally by upwardly drawn housing side parts projecting above the housing surface or by extending the housing bearings receiving the bearing journals in the direction of the side surfaces of the upper housing part. The bearing cover fixed in this way on the device housing exactly above the snap-in point of the bearing journal can now be snapped into the device housing in a simple and quick manner by light pressure on the cover, in the region of the folding axis defined by the bearing journal, in particular on both cover sides.
The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of an exemplary embodiment in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

Hinged cover is struck against the counter bearing 4 ', which according to this preferred embodiment is formed by the transverse rib of the housing 5 which is present anyway. The contours 3 are placed against counter bearings 3 ', which are formed by two lugs protruding from the surface of the device housing. The contour 2 is placed against the counter bearing 2 ', which is formed by the molded part which in any case protrudes from the housing surface and receives the protective contact. According to this preferred embodiment, the lateral guidance of the snap-on hinged cover is fixed by the housing bearings 7 which extend over the entire device housing 5. Fig. 3 shows a snap-on hinged cover 1 with resilient tongues 9, on which the bearing pins 6 are integrally formed. The hinged lid in Fig. 3 has a contour 4 which is designed as a continuous transverse rib slightly spaced from the lid edge. To snap on the hinged lid, the lid 1 is placed with its contour 4 on the counter bearing 4 '. The counter bearing 4 'is formed by the front transverse rib of the device housing 5. To lock the hinged cover in place, after fixing the hinged cover to the device housing by applying contour 4 to counter bearing 4 ', with slight pressure on the housing cover in the area of the folding axis defined by the journals 6, the journals 6 are pressed into the recesses 8 of the housing bearings 7. By pressing the hinged cover 1, the resilient tongues 9 are angled out of their essentially rectangular position relative to the hinged cover in the direction of the cover and thus allow the necessary clearance to snap the bearing pins 6 on the housing bearing 7 into the recesses 8 in the housing bearing.
